I loved that editorial (styled by Edward Enninful), do you have more of it?

An editorial from Dutch ELLE (1/2 years ago?) with model Maya (@ Elite) who walked for Tim van Steenbergen and AF Vandevorst btw :p Can someone recognize what (or rather who) she's wearing here, I can't unravel it -_-

In fact, I have already found it. Only now I can't post it because I lost the source

This thread makes me want to put my pointes on all the time

^ yes a danceshop is the best for authentic dancewear... topshop vintage always seems to have tutus and funky tutu-esque type skirts, though the prices are a bit silly and unreasonable.

Your right

I love this trend, combined with legwarmers, flats and wrap-around knitwear. very close to my heart too, I used to be a dancer

Thats so true layers are a must. And with the knit wear u would look comfortable and laid-back.B)

^^ thanks utopia, i noticed a while ago topshop online had some in the boutique, but I hesitated and now they dont seem to have them anymore. I tried a purple tutu on in the topshop vintage bit, but you're right, the prices are absolutely ridiculous for basically used clothes. (didn't stop me screwing over the system when I bought my awesome vintage dress from there. YES mel-1, topshop- nil! )

I adore the dancer style! I used to do ballet when I was a child and I still regret quitting it...

I wish I had the figure to pull off that style :(

well don't think^_^ about how u would look in it, think how u will feel in it

I've been dancing ballet seriously since I was 4 (I'm 14 now) and I think one of my favorite things are the costumes. Not only do the costumes transport you and help you find out about who your character is, what her feeling is, just like in acting, but just look at the costumes! Ballet costumes are so extraordinary, so elegant, that you know that its a really special place you'll be in while you dance. Not really of this world, you know?
What I think is really funny, though, is how all these dance warm-ups, the legwarmers, those shrugs, are all such big trends now. Before everyone I knew was wearing them everyday, I started adding dance warm-ups over my outfits because I couldn't go shopping right then and I needed something to spice up my outfits. And now they're selling them everywhere

Great topic.
