oh god, I soooo loved your pics!! I'm a professional trained ballet dancer and these pics were so amazing. thanks so much for posting 'em!

all the pictures on this thread are excellent. thanks everyone. I adore all the drapey fabrics.

Ballet dancers make it look really easy, but ballet is so difficult.

that is part of the wonderful appeal. ballet is incredibly hard and requires an athlete to do...but it also requires such intense control and grace...and you have to look good doing it. it's a very aesthetic-important sport...like figure skating and rythmic gymnastics. I get so much inspiration from all the great pics everyone has posted. ^_^

Hana, I love the back of the 3rd Givenchy pic!!! The pics here are so gorgeous .... not just the clothes but the dance poses and extensions (some hyper) as well .... inspired to bring out my dancing shoes again

so many beautiful pictures!!
utopia and somnambule, georgeous as always...
hana n, i love the givenchy ads, i had never seen them before!!

If you want to see more there's tons on the official Givenchy site. www.givenchy.com there's like 30 ads or something and they're all very beautiful.

This is from an editorial by Patrick Demarchelier.

Hana, I love the second picture. Its hard and intriguing to me....something about that orange....I like it.

Thanks for posting. :D

Those Givenchy ads seem rightfully popular here at TFS -- we all <3 dancer style.. :swoon:

Here are some dancer-ish dresses from Donna Karan S/S 05, an otherwise maudlin collection...

a very sweet picture and a beautiful username...

I think I can cheat a little since I started this thread :p but I wanted to include some figure skaters because it is so closely linked to dance... here are some pretty and inspiring skating dresses/poses.

sasha cohen, from http://www.sashafans.com (who for the record is both ballet-crazy and fashion-crazy :p)

michelle kwan from http://heatherw.com/mk ...quite a lot of her dresses are designed for her by vera wang. not sure if the one below is, but it looks it to me. :ermm:
