I though Versace but wrote Prada.
I think clearly that it’s time for him to hide a little bit in Milan. I’m hoping he gets the job because I think he is the best for it.

I suggested him because I know Italians in fashion don’t care that much about moral anyway. In France it could have been a PR issue.

We're at the end of July, so technically most of the elements for the show must be ready. Even beyond the collection: the show set, the invitation, PR must've already started securing some celebs in attendance, I'm sure even some journalists have secretly previewed a couple of things in anticipation even... It's almost too late to drop the news.

Either they twist it into a "Vitale will show his collection in an unexpected format" (i.e video installation etc) and they come up with something to shoot during August and make it part of a presentation in September with a super limited amount of looks in a "save what can be saved and inject a bunch of carry-overs" kind of approach; or they let him do the show keeping the upper hand in the edit of the looks and fire him right after.

Public humiliation for him either way, and they get their revenge.

Hope the Versace team booked their summer holidays with a travel insurance included because the vacations haven't started yet they are already over

I do wonder who would come next. There are things being said about the collaboration with Raf at Prada that allegedly could end sooner than expected. At the same time, he's the polar opposite of what Versace stands for. Tisci would make sense -- just like it made sense a few years ago but his massive ego made him lose the gig. Now that it could "finally" be called Versace by RT, why not. I just wonder how RT and the Pradas would get along... He's not one you can control / manage anyway... And recent scandals about him aren't a good look for the brand.

Just bring back Donatella to front it, and put a design director selected by them.

As i said here before studio director at miu miu means nothing its Miuccia & the stylist that set the tone (with fabio when he was there)
Dario was just put in that place via fabio´s politics , and elbowing and kissing *ss and never was known to have great talent but knew how to follow orders well and never outshine fabio, thats why when press did like he was the mastermind of miu miu i had to laugh hard (skull emoji´s) with people that are first hand familiar with the inner working of the studio.
prada always has operated with chaosh in side removing projects last minutes and redoing them later, firing people after short term or have your right hand of 20 plus year(fabio) be a bystander by hiring raf on top of him, canceling pants out of her show morning off the show, doing collections of miu miu in les than 2 weeks, miuccia likes X bag in store same day bertelli removes them and send to the outlet.

Listen ... if this is the way to get Tisci, I'll gladly be able sit a season or two without Versace. Atelier Versace under Tisci is a dream.

That's if he still has it in him to design and he's in good standing with the industry.

Because he never had chance to do so and doesn’t look like anyone wants to give him that at Versace. I’d honestly give him a go and then let his collection speak for himself instead of replacing him 2 months before…

True but in France, there’s omerta. People are blind and deaf. In Italy, it’s out, it’s known and they don’t care.

People wouldn’t risk hiring Riccardo in France even if people still love him and respect his work. Most of the people who experienced his Givenchy years are still working so he will always have that soft spot.

But to rebuild himself, Versace and Milan are probably better. To go back to his roots…20 years after his debut in the HF in terms of story telling is great.

I just hope for him that he has cut ties with Mr West.

Prada group never really end well with most people who leave, from fabric directors, to collection directors, to design directors. It's a total old 80's Italian attitude of 'you're dead without me and you betrayed us'.
Absolute sh*t show being a design director at either Prada or Miu Miu. You need to take all the sh*t from both Bertelli and Miuccia who are opposing all the time, switch around collections in 48hrs to please both, be berated at why its too commercial from Miuccia to then be called a tasteless f*ck by Bertelli the same evening.
They want soldiers to follow orders and execute under very stressful conditions, but same time if you want to give ideas its complicated and political how you present them without giving the impression you're overstepping either signora or bertelli. FUN
With Dario he didn't know Prada were going to be buying Versace, so it was hilarious reading all the conspiracy theories he was placed there by them. They were Pissed with a capital P when he decided to leave since he had been recently promoted at MM. They were also pissed at Benedetta Petruzzo who left for MD at Dior under new JW era considering she'd been on maternity leave for half the time of being CEO of MM (she was only on actual CEO duties for 10 months), esp as her only experience before MM was Kering sunglasses division.
Other than Fabio, doesn't matter which deputy leaves, whether its a Prada mens, prada womens, miu miu - regardless if you have vision or not, if you leave them they'll be pissed (esp. if you've been recently promoted).

It's ok and normal for those to want to experience something new or more (esp after 15-20 years in one company), but you end up so conditioned to work in one way when they become a CD on their own they just mimic the PTSD environment they grew up in and don't necessarily have a vision on their own.

Anyway we all predicted drama would happen with Prada purchase..

tsci is not missed i rather have bruce webber then making ads and editorials if we have to choose out of the cesspool at least he has a real legacy in his work
