Dario Vitale - Designer

I would be extremely jealous that I don’t get see to experience and see his direction for menswear if he went to Alaia.

It could be a fit though

I think the problem is just that people are feeling they are being mocked by high fashion labels.

When you offer so little (in terms of design/appeal/quality) ...but in return you ask for so much (the absurd prices), people can´t help but feeling enraged.
Brands are treating their customers (and even the potential ones) as morons. They are blatantly laughing in their faces.

Being taking advantage of is never aspirational.
And maybe some customers are irrational too no?
The influencer who bought the MiuMiu jacket that broke. He could have bought it from Carhartt.

The problem is customers fooling themselves. Going to those HF brands for jeans, tshirts, hoodies just to complain after. After processing it, I have no sympathy.

Back in the days, people used to save for a blazer, a coat, a statement piece they would style with the items they already have or things from flea markets or high streets.

Now they are spending 1K on a printed tshirt, 2K on a regular cotton white shirt jacket.
Ridiculous.

It’s much more accessible to wear designer clothes today. You can literally go from Sunnei or GmbH to Chanel or Schiaparelli.

People are not chasing individuality and quality. Those seasonal pieces are well made, collectible..

Yes, I agree with you that there are also moronic customers out there...but the problem begins when brands think all customers behave in that irrational way...because they are transforming the brands into moronic versions of their former selves.

For those interested, the one and only Versace by Dario Vitale collection has landed the stores and the website.
I am booking an appointment, i am gonna take some leathers, polo shirts and those very nice destroyed jeans, also the cardigan with the beefcakes !!!

They updated the website with the first and only (thankfully) Vitale's drop and omg the items are so bad individually.
I don't know who could be the customer of those Desigual 80's inspired tye dye shirts.
The accessories are abysmal, shoes look dated and the bags give huge Longchamp vibes. It's so bad.
The only decent looks are the embroidered dresses with the vintage diamond motif, but we're talking about 15k pieces...
I can't wait for the influencers who praised that trainwreck of debut collection and said Prada was at bad for kicking him out after the release of the campaign, NOT BUYING a single piece of the collection. Because, you know, it's easy to praise a show when you get a free invitation + freebies, it's much harder to do so when you have to spend 1,5k on your own to get a printed shirt LOL

save your euros you will get it at discount in few months :) if you really still love it by than.

By the way, imagine how desperate they are to pay that velvetcoke instagram account for an undisclosed ads.
Remember, we're talking about an account who posts daily undisclosed ads for Fashion Nova on their stories.
Do you really want your brand to be associated with Fashion Nova? LOL

Do we think the quality is even worth touching? Because his individual items do not look much better made than your regular high street brand.
You know the answer...it's Prada Group, they are known for cutting corners as much as they can. Leena Nair from Unilever is Karl Lagerfeld compared to Bertelli and Andrea Guerra.
Productions outsourced to Romania and China, misaligned and crooked Prada badges everywhere, leather so hard that feels like packaging carton, Saffiano leather made with scraps heavily coated in plasticky finish.

To be fair the production was started before the prada take over which was completed
The Prada Group officially completed the acquisition of Versace from Capri Holdings on December 2, 2025
doubt versace original production is better on average than prada even if prada cuts corners.

Pls do also remember production in china or romania does not equal worse plenty of factories in China can do things that europe factories don't even do anymore or lost expertise in like sports shoes & technical wear is one easy example.

Best way to know if its low quality is to know factory name location is really irrelevant ...but that a home work unless your in the know of production.

Ralph Lauren is a perfect example of making things every where , but there stuff last forever its because they have very strong production teams that keep quality control consistent and years of doing many product styles with slight updates and improvements year on year they mastered this very well.

hand knitted cashmere in china today is as good as old ones done in europe. etc

Yes exactly, remember that Versace was under Capri = Michael Kors = bags made in Vietnam and Cambodia LOL
Honestly, Donatella selling to Capri was the worst business move she could have ever done.

I’m crazy for this bag! I would love to have one for each color!

Btw the quality improvement in the product is impossible to deny! The leather seems leather and not plastic, and the metal same…

I would like the catalogue with the ad campaign by Meisel. That’s all i would invest in that collection lol…

@yslforever you can make some images in the dressing room to see it for real :)
