the cruise collection is obviously by demna.. they are trying if his balenciaga will work in gucci without saying it so that investors dont panic and sell shares even further after the cruise collection. If the cruise collection fails, Demna will run in panic to make another vision for gucci and present it for his first official collection.

no its not by demna ......gucci design team they went a ago week for first time to parris to work physically with him before that he was in milan to meet the design team etc and to give input for his first show or presentation, it's not even 3 weeks that they started with him with many bank holidays in between give and take.

obviously the design team try to start with what they think feel more Demna (people jobs are on the line) and ceo input as he is speaking with demna etc hence the many influences mix because its an army of ceo, co ceo, merch, co merch, stylist and consultant etc all playing creative director all at once.

Demna is so particular about a t shirt fit or cap fit (and i am not even a fan ) this is not his!!!
there are so many details that are dead give away he did not see this in person even.

did we forget most like 90 % of the team worked with Alessandro is still in gucci and are used to doing 90 looks based on 90 different ideas

p*ssy blouses was also an Alessandro thing from day one with the men's show

also why would he do a YSL Vaccarello at gucci lol

Realistically, he was probably consulted for this collection. Therefore, his influence and direction are already in place.

I think Demna’s girl would be more elevated and directional but commercial. Demna doesn’t seem like the type to edit himself and give “just a little bit”. He’s way more confident when he does something than what this collection suggest

I always wonder, how do they choose who stays from the old team and who is replaced?

first is who comes with new CD from outside and at what position they have, the equal of that position needs to go/gets fired in the team.
(usually the seniors/directors )
then rest is gradually will want to leave because they don't feel welcomed.
some stay because they click with new CD or have friends incommon.

saddest part is most of the time it has nothing to do with competence, verry high school vibes

im not surprised, thats exactly how his shows has turned into lately. Last thing on his mind is to make it coherent. Besides its hard not to make your shows coherent when all the colors you know are grey, black, neon green and that electric blue

Realistically, if they can copy AV ´s YSL with 3 stylists consulting and a full design studio , they can realistically do a Demna light version as well .


any ways knowing the stylist love for prada makes me remember its more from fw prada 2022 when people said it was also demna vibes same stiff trench coats . that had same vibes as prada fw 2002
gucci team even copy the shoes of that same collection of prada 2002 with same stiff trench years before demna that show had also pencil skirts and blouses for same prada show ....a lot of prada work to make it seem Demna was consulting on this
