Describe each others style

i want so badly to do this...but i can't come up with anything....
but i haven't given up...i know i will be inspired one of these days...

so far...i love what scott said about runner
and i love what space said about scott...i think those are 'spot on'...

and i agree that strawberry has some 'witchiness' about her...
a 'good' witch, of course...

i would agree with those...:flower:

I'm with you softgrey.. But my problem is I don't really know how to describe other people's style since I don't know any of ya'll personally.

i think everyone is going by the what are you wearing today and what would you wear today threads and the designers and collections discussions...

but it is very hard for me for some reason...
starting with some of the boys...

purechris -sexy 'punk-a-billy' rockstar ...:mohawk:
johnny -sexy slouchy schoolboy w/that touch of freak helena mentioned...
faust-very RUSSIAN , strong, dark, romantic, brooding-slightly militant
alex-the american version of the above...but not as dark...and not militant at all
alejandro-defies definition...sexy, fun, androgynous and beautiful
bakla-classic w/clever & quirky personal elements added for interest
raijin-refined rawness
coldrice-stylish, modern w/ a minimalist sporty edge
theory-elegant, earthy, tailored, polished

that's what i've got for now...
more later...so many to think of...

I can't come up with descriptions for anyone else here since I'm not familiar with your styles, so to compensate I'll do a longer style profile of myself:

Age: 21
Occupation: International Man of Mystery
- Buttons or cufflinks?
Buttons!
- Describe your personal style:
Youthful, but tailored.
- What's your signature look?
Slouchy rock star.
- Pleats or flat front?
Both, depending on the situation and tailor.
- Favorite tailor?
Yohji Yamamoto.
- Favorite shoes?
That's a tough one...I'll probably go with Helmut Lang.
- Favorite item in your closet?
My Y's suit.

I just used Vanity Fair's template and added my own answers. That probably seemed like a worthless post to y'all, but I've always wanted to do that.

*checks item off "Things to do before I die" list*

Thank you, Scott
soft, I've been promoted from goth to witch then have I.. :P

I want to think of some more of my own soon...

oh yes strawberry dear...i forgot about the 'happy goth'...
now that i've had a peek...

you're more like sugarplum fairy i think...:P

thanx Soft:flower:...:mohawk:

I'm so glad this got bumped. I love the most recent descriptions.

Black Forest fairy godmother,Softie! Yes! Its the same exact way I describe Alison Goldfrapp and *Strawberry* reminds me SO much of Alison!

I still can't get over "schoolboy of the forest" by Space. Perhaps a schoolboy whose wardrobe is all handmade and whose parents are master tailor's...hehe Yeah,I think you got me down to a 't' monsieur Spacemiu.

TheSoCalledPrep - funky, classic, retro, cute, edgy, looks good in anything

i was reading bob dylan's memoirs last nite and i was inspired to be 'poetic' :P

so...here goes

* bear with me because they are cryptic

spacemiu simultaneously floating high above the earth and buried deep in the earth's core / or a battery +/- (two extremes creating an energy charge)

droogist algorithms (or in dutch) algoritme -- sequence of steps to solve a problem. However, an algorithm implies an expression that solves a complex problem / or legos :P

mulletproof if crayola crayons could evaporate and preticipate like H20 that would be you

jennifer barbwire made out of semi-sweet chocolate / or black licorice

cerfas cheesecloth/ white sugar/ warm water

anna k copper etching by some long ago artist

wow great discriptions, and great use of words, love the one about crayons !! :flower:

travolta, you bring to mind a Rubik's cube, but the sides are dice (ie., polka-dotted) and the colors are black, red and white. Take no offense if you wouldn't rather bet on it.

^ wow, that is quite accurate! that sums up the style of art work i do as well. no offense taken!

Wow. I had no idea this thread existed... Cool idea.

I don't even know my own style, though.. so I'm sure none of you would.
