Designers Switching Houses & Moving to New Brands

The men's RTW, women's RTW and HC studio are all seperate (to the point that men's is even in a different building, I think), so there shouldn't be too much clash. That said, it's been proven that Dior can make a HC collection in less than month if neccessary.
Thanks for the replies, I avoid av Montaigne (and rive droite in general) like the plague.

Wait, what's wrong with Rive Droite. I've never been to Paris, so I wouldn't know.
Personally, it's a lot of tourists and the traps that go along with it. Before I moved to Paris, I mostly stuck to Rive Droite around Place Vendôme, Tuileries, etc. But the feeling in the 6th and a small part of the 7th feels much more local maybe ? I don't know, but it's just a great feeling with places to eat, shop, and relax. I doubt I could be convinced to live anywhere else other than the 7th or 6th.

Could you imagine that Carine Roitfeld lives in Avenue Montaigne. Besides the fancy address, I couldn’t.

When it comes to the fancy arrondissements of Paris, Rive Gauche is better because you have a real « vie de quartier » or neighborhood life. It’s cliché but the 16th is the more enjoyable arrondissement in Rive Droite.
There’s so much traffic and activity Rive Droite that you rarely gets to enjoy Paris apart from a touristic or consumerist aspect I think.

In the 6th and 7th, both Rive Gauche, you have a neighborhood life and monuments and fancy boutiques. It’s like the best of both world.

All this talk from me…When I’m in Paris, I’m almost a country girl, I stay in Levallois Perret.

Touristy like the Champs Elysées, sometimes tacky like av Montaigne.
Ideally you do your business on rive droite but live on rive gauche.
It's also an old trope on new-money (rive droite) vs aristocracy and old-money (rive gauche).

Does she? no wonder i always loved that place :heart::heart:
Damn i feel so nostalgic now lol Rive Droite :magic:

She isn’t actually anymore. Her « husband » and her separated and the new all black apartment she has that is featured on AD is in Avenue Montaigne.
I'll go to the Rive Droite for this. I will be minxing up and down Avenue Montaigne to run into Carine. Some of the people there are insufferable, but it's worth it. 🤣🤣🤣
