I think he looks ok, and sure you may like the look as well ,but to call it strong styling skills is a little exaggerated IMHO. I don't know what I'd call "strong styling skills" myself (Tom Ford? Hint hint), but just wearing an size 54 DH jacket with baggy pants ain't it.

was it confirmed that its a size 54? even though its dior a dior 54 is still pretty damn big size. ive seen kanye in person and he aint even that big, you guys are making him out to be arnold schwarzenegger.

I personally MUCH prefer next season above this spring/summer since I can only picture very few people wearing the clothes in a loud or bad way. I like the subtlety and the grown up feel about the clothes, the fact that it is so not inspired by pop culture. I am really sick and tired about the way most celebrities are dressing these days, from Madonna to Nicole Richie, Kanye West to P-Diddy or Jude Law, or any other (MTV) starlet you can imagine.

Maybe "quiet" is gonna be the new "loud" in the future, with a focus on beautiful cut and subtle detailing rather than wearing "that jacket".

I didn't mean it literally that it was size 54, I just kinda guessed. I just figured since Albert use 52 and KW being a black rapper, chances are that he'd be a tad bigger than our asian friend :flower: Might have been a 50 or 52 also, I don't really know since I haven't seen kanye at all except one time on Letterman a long time ago, and that was without trying to guess his "size";) Anyways this was /is besides the point I was trying to make so it shouldn't matter.

Obviously i'm not putting Kanye West on the level of designers such as Tom Ford lol... I meant he had original styling in the hip-hop / entertainment context. Of course it may seem weak in the "i paid $800 on ebay japan for a pre-luster neon pink belt" context that is this forum. ;)

Just compare his style (Gucci/DH/Vans) in the december GQ to the 50cent mag cover and you'll see what i mean... or maybe not

Hey now... I'm a 50 (sometimes a 48) and 31 in jeans. I'm not THAT big!

Anyways, here's a photo of the newest blood wound shirt I've made:

The shirt is 1 size small on me so it's a bit... tight hahaha.

Is there any way that I can view past DH collections online?

I definitely wouldn't call Kanye's outfit strong styling. How difficult is it to wear a typical baggy hip-hop outfit and put a Dior jacket over it? I'd say there's no real effort there whatsoever. It's like some random hip-hop dude walking into Dior, seeing the jacket, buying it, and putting it on. But to each his own...

Nice, Albert. Once I get my hands on a 37P dress shirt, I'll probably send it to you for some work. ;)

Hehe sorry. It's widely known that TF was more of a stylist than a "designer" so I kinda put that TF thing in as a joke, that he's at least a good stylist. Didn't mean to imply that you in any way compared KW to TF, maybe I should read over my comments more carefully the next time before posting..

actually combining baggy hip-hop clothing with DH stuff is probably a lot harder to pull off than straight ripping runway looks... but my comments about Kanye weren't merely based on that latest pic. he's been sporting DH, LV, Gucci...etc for a while now, has been a fashion editor in complex, nominated best dresser in mtv awards, GQ appearances etc, i've even seen him shopping some dope stuff at colette here in Paris so i think he knows whats up, wouldnt really call him a "random Dior shopper" either but yea, lets agree to disagree :p

Well, I wasn't exactly talking about whatever it is you were saying, and I was also generalizing, but what-the-f*ck-ever. I'm out of this bitchfest.

Anyone own pieces from the first three collections? Please share. :flower:

MTV and GQ aren´t really serious style institutions, but let´s agree to disagree on that topic... :innocent:;):p

I´ve got a classic three-button, tailored overcoat from Reflection in a felted wool coating, black. Probably one of the most timeless Dior Homme designs, it´s been my first ever purchase of Dior, I think I bought it like, 4 years ago when the collection hit the shops.

It´s a fabulous coat but it doesn´t fit in any way slimmer than recent Dior Homme tailoring, by that, I mean those jackets that have the traditional shoulder padding and fully canvassed front construction.

VOTC prototype wool sleeveless turtleneck w/ leather zipper epaulettes (supposedly a M and I wear XS; if it was any tighter, I couldn't wear it )
Strip resin-coated (or whatever) bleu clair claw mark jeans
Strip stud & chain belt (thanks Drexl)
S/S 05 leather hi-top sneakers (I wish they were Strip grommet sneakers)
