I was at the boutique today, hoping for a sale, but unfortunately everything was still regular price.

Anywho... does anyone know if the colognes come in smaller sizes? The ones in cylinders. Anyone know how much they are?

It's only end of May, so it would be a little grotesque if the clothes would be already on discount by now... who on earth needs the winter stuff now that summer has barely just started in most parts of the world?

be that as it may most places in new york city have already gone on sale or are going on sale within the next 2 weeks. dior is no exception. i believe presale / friends & family is already underway. 30% starts next week.

But there is dior stuff on sale already on bigger department stores and web stores... Well I hope Saks and Barneys have some dior stuff on sale.... :)

wow, that's pretty early, i never knew about such habits in the US... cause in Europe they usually won't start before... july?

That's why I was there. Barneys started private sale a week ago and regulat sale I beleive starts today or tomorrow. I was at Barneys Beverly Hills and thought I would take a trip to Dior and other stores on Rodeo.

GG...your probably smaller than a 44, so if you are interested in it after seeing that hefty price tag I would call the stores when pre-ordering begins.

By the way...when can I start pre-ordering stuff?

I just checked it out, minus vat and converted into $ the price is $2900. I really love the jacket so maybe I can do it...

But yes I'd definatly need smaller than a 44. Is DH a lot cheaper on LVR like most designers? If it is, are there any other places that carry dh in that part of the world?

I think it is alot cheaper...but with vat it is almost the same. The waistcoat I bought was up on LVR for a time at around 500 USD with vat. I paid 525 USD at the NY boutique. In regards to other places that carry it, do you mean online or not?

Don't forget you'll get taxed for the item + pay brokerage fees with Fedex once it goes through customs (about 30% here in Canada, and if I remember correctly, around 20%-25% for the US?)

Not nessecarily online, any place that I could call and would ship to the US :)

I'm also wondreing the same thing as baizilla, how'd you end up paying vat if your NY?

drexl -- It's kind of odd, but from all the times I've shopped at LVR and browns, I've only gotten 1 duties bill. Not sure whats up but I'm not about to investigate!

^ In Europe we have a certain procedure when it comes too goods that are imported from outside EU and into EU.

If your goods are worth under a certain amount (in Denmark it is $50, I think), they will not be charged, but if the price of the item isn't on the invoice the customs can't really charge you :innocent:

Perhaps it is the same procedure in the US.. which is why you haven't paid anything, because LVR don't write the price of the items on the invoice.

Things move quicker in the US. It's that consumerist urge - new, new, new!!!

mine was 10%

I've been speculating to myself for about a minute now on what the completion of the phrase 'Posting requires...' would be. I had 'enourmously large wallet', thus 'reading thread rules' came as a dissappointment...

The difference is that you'd be a sucker to pay an extra 44 euro for the bruts.

In all seriousness, I think the brut's are slightly higher in the rise (0.5 inches) compared to the nostalgys which I'm assuming are the older style cut.

I didn't pay vat in NY...I'm just saying that with the vat it ends up costing the same here as it would on LVR. Sorry for the mix-up:D
