I MAY be wrong but I think the second ones are Made in japan, whereas the first ones are from Italy. here was the same difference w/ the brut jeans SS 06. I have the japanese ones, they were 212 in Paris (and something like 215 outside France) and I saw the italian ones (nearly similar, except the color more indigo with the japanese, which i found thigher too) they were 176. So maybe that's the point.

I saw this coat (or maybe a similiar one with some different details on chest) at Dior Homme boutique in Shanghai in Feb. That one looks really delicious, the cutting, fabric, everything just looks fantastic. I didn't even have the courage to check the hidden price tag though!

I assume the clothes worn in the shows are altered to fit the models so it's irrelevant really. I'd guess around 28-29 and 44, possibly 46 as some are quite tall and wide shouldered. Theres quite a variation between models too though

all of the clothing is entirely sur mesure, most of the pieces tend to fit like a petite taille piece - much narrower arms and armholes, a slimmer waist, but normal shoulder width. i am always feeling somewhat sorry that I cannot buy any of the show/showroom samples as they tend to fit me perfectly which is really a rare joy with ready to wear clothing... I'd probably wear anything if it was just as nicely fitted as any of the samples... (except from the trousers which are oddly always two sizes too big for me) ... gladly Nicolas Andreas Taralis' clothes are almost the same proportions so they work just as well on me.

I'm not one for it either...but it is done to keep DH in business correct? If that is the case, then more power to the larger sizes for keeping me looking good.

Finally made it to the San Francisco Saks after djork mentioned they are carrying DH again, and finally saw the raw denim in person. Only problem was, the only sizes left were 36- and 38-inch waist! So I still don't know how they would fit.

i got a tank, a pair of jeans and two tshirts in small today at saks, everything else was pretty much large sizes..

i wish the shoes/sneakers were on sale. how do the shoes fit btw?

i just don't see the point for a size 52 or 54 for that matter in DH

I dont know what size you are Dorien, but for myself wearing DH in size 52 it is more like a girl wearing a mini skirt but who know she's 6 feet tall so she don't take the craziest one.

To simplify, this is not because so dumb rich fat kid buy DH because it's hot at the moment that big size are good looking. I am wearing 52 in jacket, 41 in shirt and 34 in jeans but i don't really think i look bad with all my DH stuff. But i admit you have to choose carefully your stuff in the collection. It was hard for me to not buy the fireworks jacket last year but it wasn't made for talll people for example. The other big difference is that you can't wear DH like a skinny jeans. I use mine like normal jeans but more beautiful ones.

Just don't generalize this type of thought.
