if you think it's that bad why are you into Dior anyway? Besides, those boys are indeed gorgeous, and I don't really know what's the big deal in acknowledging their obvious beauty? It's not like he's r*ping them backstage ... at this rate should we also condemn the painters Caravaggio for his erotic teenagers boys? I like some of his fashion work, but a good amount of his personal work& behavior leaves me uneasy. I didn't say anything about admiring aesthetic beauty, now did I? Doesn't sound creepy at all. What's the big deal nowadays, I mean, what's the point for finding new ways and reasons to bash Hedi for? If you want "Man-Safari" then why don't you just make a Dolce or D2 thread. I for once am perfectly happy that DH is still focused on youth and skinny boys and the whole image it conveys.
Besides don't you know that girl-models are recruited already at 11-12 years of age? That's not creepy, but a 18year old Eric van Norstrand is? Give me a break!

i didnt mean to cause offence to people its just the way it was written down just sounded really off, its got nothing to do with me not liking the brands image or me wanting to bash hedi - why would i want to i love dior homme. and its not me saying the modelsare too young it just sounded wierd when i was reading the article

It seems like the signature pieces this season are more... showpieces.
The glitter jeans look gorgeous on Sienna, but it's a snapshot. When worn down the street, the look just isn't the same. VICTIM, I'd save your money. The fact that they cannot be washed and that the glitter falls off all over the place goes pretty far to show you that they aren't worth the excessive price tag. Plus... do you want glitter EVERYWHERE? Think about what your house/apt/flat is going to look like. Plus glitter all over your friends' places. Those jeans won't be welcome anywhere hahaha.
Glitter jeans, high front blazers, high back blazers, the capes from last season, fireworks jacket... all gimmicks more than design in my opinion. I'd love for him to be true to his word that he's back to his atelier and actually working on the flawless execution and construction he had before. Attention to subtle details is what brought me to the brand. In Luster it was the leather tabbed braided pulls on the hoodies along with the small leather epaulets and the many darts around the neck. He could take something so basic as a hoodie and work it up to something on another level. He's got the capability to do this, I hope he brings it out and flexes his creative muscles once again.
I wore my Follow Me leather blazer yesterday to a new local lounge and got a number of compliments on it. The structuring of the early blazers and especially the leather quality is so far beyond what has been produced in the last couple of seasons. You literally cannot lay the blazer flat because it has been constructed to follow the contours of the torso. Plus Hedi used Chanel leather which is soft and supple and has this dull sheen that works so perfectly.
Even VotC had a suit or two that had a superior cut to the rest of the more mass-produced ones.
That being said, I am enjoying these photos of Kate Moss and Sienna wearing DH. Very sexy!
Saw the photo of the $10k sequin lined jacket in the recent GQ. God... it's only a matter of time before we see some celeb wearing it. It's literally a jacket that looks like a cheap Members Only jacket except with a shiny lining. Waste. Just a waste.

Dare I say it...I hate her too. She (but not really her fault though ^^) alone was the reason the whole world went boho-crazy last year. And reading interviews of various people the questions were always something like this: "Who is your fashion-idol at the moment?" and the answer would be " It's a cliché but I have to answer Sienna Miller" ugh! back to DH: Yeah the glitter jeans looks kinda nice on that pic ^^

The only thing that I see is that only very few are daring to wear something subversive these days. It was different back in the 50ies with the original "New Look" by Dior, YSL´s Smokings and even the Belgians and Japanese back in the 80ies... menswear never changed a lot in between and I think even though that metrosexual concept had been in everybody´s mouth for some time, men are more than ever afraid of beeing mistaken as gay, that´s why they don´t dare to be different. It´s actually quite sad, taking into account what women did in the past.
And to go back on topic; Go for the jeans if you feel they are you, VICTIM. I totally see you rocking them on a casual basis
