That would definitely be nice, Chanel Homme with Slimane, Chanel Women with...Karl and Hedi?

^I heard about that, but also heard it definately won't happen, with chanel being a traditional fashion house etc. Interesting to see what happens though.

1,75m maximum height would definitely be considered as rather short in terms of international menswear sizing... taking into consideration that the clothing has to function in a diversity of markets and different bodies. I think you'd definitely see that if you try on a petite taille shirt that it tends to come up rather short in the overall length, you probably can't tuck it in the pants if you wish to just as if you'd wear a women's shirt as a man.

I am personally 1,80m and most of the clothing doesn't work well for me - not necessarily for the skinnier proportions but because my torso and arms are too long to make it look well proportioned. A women's torso is simply smaller in relation to a man's, so naturally, as 'petite taille' is being explained as a small woman's vestiaire of essential Dior Homme garments, it would only work on a man with smaller proportions.

there is a diversity of boys with different heights in the cast, most of the shorter ones tend to be those that Hedi casts from the streets whereas most of the taller boys are booked from the agencies. then again, they always have inlays in the shoes when they do the runway, so they all tend to look taller than they actually are.

As for the Chanel rumour, there were loads of it circling around when I was in Paris during the last men's/couture week. Some of those concerning Dior Homme seemed rather absurd which is exactly what I think about Hedi going to Chanel... I would only see it happening if Karl was intending to leave as it is definitely a brand that is associated with his persona. I would totally see Hedi starting his own label, though, if he had to leave Dior Homme behind.

I've always used a typical 'school boy' knot, mainly because I thought it would have a slimmer profile. Just last week I started using a half windsor and it works just as well!! Full windsor might be a bit much...

i wondered if anyone could clarify the version of a jean i found in selfridges the other day: it blue denim and had black buttons on the waist - i guess this is different from the japanese denim and basic model. Is this model from the fall season? what is the fit like? straight leg?

Yeah, the black wool ones. The picture didn't show it but they turned out to have a white bee on the right hand.

What does everyone think of the bee? Do you like it / avoid pieces with it? I'm not a big fan of logos but the bee is pretty minimal so I kind of like it. Besides, almost nobody knows what it means, at least here in Chicago.

The trend for skinny jeans started in the last couple of years when Kate Moss was photographed in them very frequently. They've always been popular with the rock set, but Kate really made them mass-marketable.
