Actually it's a Japanese Samurai ' kilt ' , made in a number of cloths , including tartan .
Karl Lagerfeld bought one and wore one .
IF you could still get one , the price was astronomical , as it was a ' directional ' piece .
£5000 should just about do it !!!!!

If not , you should read the Dior Homme threads in ' Designers and Collections ' . It's a revelation . 
Keep your eye on ebay as it could be that Karl Lagerfeld might decide to unload his at a reasonable price .
