Dior Men Pre-Fall 2020 by Steven Meisel

Awful collection, what did I expect?

Some plates and mugs to go with this perfectly awful collab, looking like any old tat you can find at the pound shop. I'm sure the thought crossed Kim Jones' mind to start selling Dior briefs and boxers.

Kim is going overboard. Quite sad given I like the dressier parts of his Dior Men’s.

Tbh, I like this better than the clothes. Anybody over 30 wearing that collab will look ridiculous but drinking on that collab, I’m fine with it.

I wouldn’t be surprised too about the underwear. It did not hurt the Tom Ford brand so why not? The problem is that I can already see a line of full on logos boxers! Terrible!

Rather you than me, Lola. LOL! The pattern on the mug just looks cheap, like those DIY paint kits that have been thriving over lockdown.

Re Tom Ford, maybe I'm a hypocrite but I actually thought it was wise of him to include boxers. A huge part of what attracts the TF man is TF himself, he's much like a designer influencer. So it only makes sense to sell boxers, perfume, and bronzers in addition to the mainline. I'd even go so far as to say he should consider going into the men's grooming market. It would make more sense than Boy de Chanel.

I hope at least that they used the best porcelain for their products....

Your explanation makes sense and in a way, maybe Dior could have achieved it under Hedi Slimane. They did skincare, timepieces and underwear was the logical step forward. Now indeed, you can’t identify with Dior, you just buy Dior.

I think Tom started a grooming line some years ago with concealer, brows definer and all stuff for men.
