One can always dream..I thought this was a announcement...
Sofia Coppola? The article mentioning Pharrell at LV (and the Lindsay at Ungaro talk) makes me wonder...could you ever see Chanel ever going down the route of a non-traditional creative director?
Someone with "vision", but who isn't a fashion designer per se?
you mean hedi? i dont see him as a fashion designer... he is the perfect vision maker tho. never seen any mindblowing silhouettes or techniques from him, its all about the vibeSomeone with "vision", but who isn't a fashion designer per se?
*Blazy’s Bottega departure could come as soon as this week (the 26th)Lauren Sherman said it could come as soon as this week.
Given that Bottega is Kering's only real success story at the moment, I can't see them giving him up without a tussle.
That's nice and all, but Kering doesn't have a great track record when it comes to breaking up with their creative directors...Lauren Sherman wrote: "My guess is that whatever is happening behind the scenes, it’s all very civil on both sides. This job is a precious thing."
If a designer really wants to leave there isn't much Kering can do about it. Sure, they could force him to stay until the end of his contract but do you really want an unhappy designer at your fashion house? Letting him go in good terms is the smartest thing to do, you just don't get offered to be creative director of Chanel everyday, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
