Burlesque dance is more like an art to me than p*rn..
But my sister would agree with you, so I can't fight it. I do understand that she goes too far in some people's opinions. p*rn is different though..
It isn't like she has s*x with people in front of us. She dances quite sensual/sexual, yes and she undresses. But then she puts everything back on again and looks chic. DOn't you agree that cheap p*rn stars remain tacky even off-stage?

:flower:

Uhm, no it's not the way she dances that people are talking about. It's the fetish stuff she did in the past. If you've known about her before she got with Marilyn Manson you would know what I'm refferring to, which is stuff like her Andrew Blake film where she is being penetrated by a dildo shoe. Okay, she says that she hasn't done p*rn b/c she's never been penetrated by a guy on camera, but I think to exclude all other acts except guys penetrating you as not being p*rn is sexist to say the least. She isn't the only one who defines it this way. Her old Yahoo club moderator said she technically doesn't do p*rn b/c of this difference.
Anyway, this is no judgment on her or her choices in the past because I was a fan and still am. It's just fact. She did very racy, raunchy things before she decided to do more burlesque than fetish. She even siad in an interview that Burlesque is more acceptable to people than fetish and more marketable to the general public, plus she loves it, so ever since she got more in the public eye she's run more with the burlesque thing and not going to so many fetish events to perform anymore.

She used to also do personal fetish videos I believe for people who asked through Versatile Fashions, had videos where she licked her friend's feet clean from pie and vice versa and they rubbed each others genitalia with their feet, and videos being spanked hard 'til her bum is red. She's also had very graphic pictures where she opens her legs wide with her hands and such.

For the person who said she's just a p*rn star and doesn't deserve respect. Well, that's opinion and plenty of p*rn stars these days DO get respect despite just being p*rn stars so I don't see that as an issue for me. I like her style and that's honestly the one thing for me that sets her apart. p*rn or no p*rn.

I have to ask, and I don't mean to be snotty when I say this, but all of you who say she is just a dancer, did you not know about all of this? I don't think she denies it, but you would just have to look it up and/or already have known about her for some years.

She´s not a p*rn Star!!!!!!!! She´s a world famous dancer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I have to ask, and please don't take it as snotty (afterall, everything can come across differently in print), but did you not know about her whole career. This stuff was not that long ago, so it isn't a something in her "history" really. She doesn't deny it and you would only have to look her up and/or know about her for some time to know it. I would classify her as a nude model and dancer who has done p*rn*gr*ph*c stuff. And I'm not talking about doing a sex tape and racy pictures only to have someone dig it up for the public. No, she openly did this as Dita Von Teese.
To the person who questions why a p*rn star would get respect, well whether someone classifies her as a p*rn star is really a matter of opinion, and I don't think they're just talking about her dancing. Besides, there are many p*rn stars today who only do p*rn and DO still get respect, so that's also a matter of personal opinion and choice.
Regardless of whether or not she's done real p*rn, and even if she only did p*rn (which is obviously not true in her case as she's known for other things despite doing p*rn*gr*ph*c things as well that you would only find in the Adult section anywhere), what sets her apart for me is her sense of style. p*rn or no p*rn.

I did know, yes. But it's not why she's gaining respect these days. I'm sure most of the people who are subscribed to her thread are not that interested in her ''p*rn'' past. I was answering the question of the person about why she gets the respect.

Does anyone have a nice scan of her on the cover of playboy?? like big version or anything like it...

thanks..

I hope you didn't take offense. I was just asking. I also doubt that any "p*rn" past would be the actual reason for why she's gaining respect. Anyway, I was just saying that she's not just a dancer. There is also another part to her career. I guess to other people, unlike you and me, they dislike that other aspect of her career so much that they don't respect her at all. Like I said, I don't agree with that other person and I hope you don't think I'm just being contrary. Just wanted to let you know because I think a lot of people don't know about her having been into fetish so much before. Just to throw ya some info if you didn't know.

You don't think people on this thread would be interested in her "p*rn" past? Why not? I would be. LOL.

Oops. You weren't the one I meant to respond to about this anyway. I accidentally tacked on the second post onto my first one about this. Oh well... But anyway, now that you bring it up, I thought your post was talking about how Burlesque isn't p*rn and I was telling you she doesn't just do burlesque.

^Excuse me if I came across as being insulted or took offense. I really don't:flower: I'm just answering because I thought you misunderstood me.
Personally, I don't care about her past. I'm only interested in her Burlesque dancing and style. That's what she does most these days. So to the question ''why does she gain respect'' I was only responding about what I think, makes her get respect. (I hope I explain this correctly. English isn't always easy for me.) I would not ever disrespect her for her past, by the way. So I'm with you on that part. But since I couldn't care less about p*rn, it's not the reason I'm subscribed to this thread:lol:

As for your last post. Doesn't matter:flower: but I thought the person (whiterose) was taking her Burlesque as too p*rn*gr*ph*c. And I was expressing my views about Burlesque. Maybe I should have directly understood that the comment was about her past.:doh:I didn't.

I really like her eye makeup here!

I'm glad you didn't take offense. I wish I could give you karma (do they still do that here?) just for me being such a pain in the butt. LOL.
