She's renowned for her glamorous appearance, faultless make-up and hair and elegant retro sense of fashion.
But, of course, Dita Von Teese can't always be the archetypal, modern-day Burlesque queen.
The 37-year-old, real name Heather Sweet, headed to Astek Wallcoverings in Van Nuys, California to pick up some new wallpaper designs for her home, looking a stark contrast to her typical flawless alter ego.

Dressed in a simple pink V-neck top with short sleeves and a long skirt with a multi-coloured landscape design matched with ballet slippers, Dita wore minimal make-up for the shopping trip.

Aided by her assistant, she picked up several rolls of the wallpaper, which is custom designed by Astek Wallcoverings.
Earlier this week she took to her Twitter to explain the dilemma she faced with choosing from such a wide range of designs, posting a photograph of all the samples she had picked up.

Tough choice: Dita complained on her Twitter page about the difficulty she had in choosing from the huge range of samples she'd picked up

She tweeted the picture with the caption: 'Selecting from all these great wallpapers is extreme torment for an indecisive Libra woman like me.'
Later, she picked out a velvet design saying: 'This velvet flocked wallpaper is killing me. Of course it's available in ANY color combination!'
The former wife of shock rock singer Marilyn Manson is set to appear in Bristol for the launch of an art exhibition.

However, her appearance has been met with criticism by some equality groups.
Dita is due to perform at the launch party of the Art from the New World exhibition on Friday evening.
Bristol’s Labour Party group leader Helen Holland told one complainant she was 'appalled'.

A Bristol City Council legal officer defended the performance saying it did not break regulations concerning equalities and that senior members of the council were aware the Burlesque dancer would be appearing.
But Mrs Holland remains opposed to the appearance.
She said: 'I am a gender equality consultant and I have been unable among all my professional colleagues to find a single expert on gender equality who does not agree that this event acts against the interests of women’s equality.'
She added: 'I am appalled and bitterly disappointed at the lack of gender equality awareness demonstrated thus far.'
Meanwhile campaign group Equality South West told Oxfordshire radio station Jack FM: 'This amounts to a public body spending public money on the gratuitous debasement of women.

'Bristol City Council has a legal obligation to promote equality so should be supporting women, not demeaning them.
'This is a disappointing mistake by Bristol City Council, and we sincerely hope they change their mind and stop the stripper from attending.'

I know this is an old quote, but I too love that time of early morning for the same reasons, especially when you're in a new city and have just arrived.

As Dita announced on twitter, she is now the new ambassador for Perrier sparkling water! The limited edition line, entitled “Paparazzi,” will be available in supermarkets from June 2010. The photography is by Chris Cuffaro, from a shoot called “Black on White,” viewable in it’s entirety through the members section of dita.net. For those unaware, Perrier is a brand of bottled mineral water made from a spring in Vergèze in the Gard département of France. The spring from which Perrier is drawn was called Les Bouillens. It has been used as a spa since Roman times. Local doctor Louis Perrier bought the spring in 1898 and operated a commercial spa there; he also bottled the water for sale.
