^ I'M SO BUYING THE BOOK! My friend and I are going to the book store Kuyi... Koya... I dunno, it's a weird name, . And we're getting the book, and if it's not there we're going to look EVERYWHERE for it. I tried border's last week but they said it was a special-order book only and it takes 2 weeks to get in But apparently that book store I'm going to tomorrow has some in stock... well, they better... or else...

And usually when someone's doing an autograph signing, you can buy... like... posters or cards and things.

I don't care how much it costs, there's no way I'm not getting that book!

The Dita Day To End All Dita Days

Where to begin? Let's just fast forward to the interesting parts.

Apparently we had to buy the M.A.C Viva Glam lipstick or lipglass to be able to get an autograph from Dita. So, having done that (and luckily being one of the last 15 out of 100 to be able to do that), we made our way to the end of the queue. Because we were told by the ladies at the counter that she strictly would NOT be signing anything other than the posters provided, we didn't have copies of her book, Burlesque And The Art Of The Teese. However, after walking past a few people with copies of the books in their hand, Red_ribbon91 (Loretta to you) stayed in line while I rushed out to go find two copies of the book.

Having returned with the books and after waiting for about half an hour (or something, we were just so excited time pretty much flew by ), we got to the front of the line and were told by a security guard that she will not be signing our books, so he held them for us as we got our posters signed and photos taken.

Dita has to be the gentlest, most modest, poised, put-together, elegant woman on the face of the Earth. She has a really soft voice, and when complimented she says "Thank you" and you can tell that she really means it. We tried to tell her how absolutely magnificently fabulous she was, but seriously, words can't come to your brain when you're actually in front of her. So I stupidly said, "I really admire you... you're so cool!" and Lori can't even remember what she said! . We smiled. A lot.

After the best 5 minutes our lives (or so we thought), we got our books back from the security guard and went upstairs to watch her sign posters for more people. BUT! We also spotted some people asking her assistant to get their books signed, and they did! So... we ran back downstairs, waited in line again and after MUCH begging and pleading with the security guards, we were able to get our books signed, too! We were two of MAX ten people who managed to get their books signed, we feel so special! And she remembered our names! Well, I guess after being the "fastest repeat offenders" (or so says her assistant ), she couldn't have forgotten that fast.

She was wearing a black strapless dress with a white design on it, as she was sitting down we could only see the top half of her body, so... no info on the shoes from us, sorry!
