I know she wears real fur too and although I don't and probably never will wear real fur, leather etc I usually don't mind others wearing it esp. if it's for example an inherited or vintage/second hand fur coat etc....it just seems that Peta (and I'm not a Peta fan) is inconsequent here.

Maybe they don't know about Ditas love for fur and someone should tell them? B)
I agree with you. Even though I feel animals are suffering and I don't personally want to contribute anymore to it and I try to be aware of that, I know others disagree and that's okay because I won't save animals by preaching to people. Only leading by polite example helps.
PETA is soooo hypocritical! I'm disappointed in their inability to walk the walk.
So as long as you're a celebrity, that's all that matters. They're just hiring random famous people.
As far as the possibilty of Vintage animal furs being okay for PETA? They always seemed like they were really strict about those things before. They advocate veganism, which is personally not for me but fine for them.
So, if they do come out and find it's okay that Dita collects vintage fur stoles (which she says she does and has a personal furrier dye for her in different colors) then I guess KFC can collect cryogenically frozen chickens that were tortured way-back-when and Col. Sanders will be okay.LOL!

Not only is Dita hypocritical, but mostly PETA. I'm sure she can believe animals shouldn't suffer, but the woman collects taxidermy, folks! She wears those old-fashioned fox furs where the fox clasp closes by the fox teeth biting on its' tail. That ain't subtle. I love the '40s but that was always eww to me and I've found other ways to be historically accurate, and for the sake of not scaring my dog, Fifi, I found it okay to sacrifice wearing the dead animal around my neck clasping its' own tail.
