Jordan criticizing Dita? Ha. Not to be judgemental but I don't know of Jordan for being a person with good taste.

Come on, you know Dita didn't go through the hassle of bleaching/stripping her hair for a photo shoot. It is likely a wig.

I second that! Jordan has no taste at all so she couldn't criticize Dita.

Dita and religion
I've also read many interviews and it does seem she never talks about religion, just as she never talks about politics. She has said that some people try to make her performances seem like they say something politically but that's not the case. As far as her wedding with Manson, she said it was nonreligious or something along those lines, but I have the feeling that was because of Manson. After all, who could imagine Manson having any kind of religious ceremony? I'm sure he wouldn't allow it. I'm glad she doesn't talk about what her religious beliefs are (if any), because if she did, surely what would be cool to some fans, wouldn't be to others. I think her not saying anything about that is a good choice, because it makes her seem to be neutral/respectful, careful not to offend anyone... at least to me. And that's the best way to go in my opinion. Also, no one can bag on her about her beliefs that way if she doesn't openly talk about them. I think that's very respectable, although she might be nonreligious. After all, she does strip, which probably wouldn't set in well with most religions. Who knows, maybe when she is a lot older she'll become a "born again christian", like Bettie Page and legendary Wanda Jackson. All in all I think her apparent choice not to advocate or talk about religion is a respectable choice, just like with politics.
And to Cammy: She has said in interviews before that the people who really know her that she considers to be true friends (which probably aren't that many but still) are the ones who get to see the real her at home. Although I'm sure who she is to the public is who she actually is anyway. It kind of goes along with the concept of "Try to be something long enough, and you become it", though I think she has always been who she is now, deep down.

I have a more personal question about Dita: does she follow any religion? She seems to me like she was a disenchanted youth, and likely an athiest, but I don't know anything about her background in terms of her parents (besides their occupations). ^^Thanks for sharing AmorAlaVintage and well said! I respect the fact that she does not discuss those things (religion & politics) in the media. Why do we care what she thinks about those? I just love her style and attitude and appreciate the time and effort she puts into her look and show.
It really annoys me when famous "Hollywood type" people discuss those things.....like their opinion is going to influence me??

I think style encompasses so many things about a person, and I have always felt that Dita's style in particular has been able to flourish in a way that someone with religious ties might not be able to, at least not the extreme she takes (I'm speaking more professionally). I was just curious about the person behind the style, and what it takes to be that different from what is "trendy" and "popular" and yet still look the way she does; vintage with a timeless appeal. It doesn't relate heavily to religion (some could argue at all), but it is the holiday season for many people and I felt like keeping it topical. I know I was taking the thread slightly off-topic, thanks to all for keeping it real.
