How much time does it take to be DVT? Like seriously, how long does it take her to get ready? Even during the day she's stunning so I wonder what kind of prep is involved? Has Dita ever said on her website/forums?

Describe your daily beauty routine?

"When I’m going about my day to day life - going to the grocery store or for a workout, I don’t sit down and put on a full face of make-up, but a sweep of powder and a little mascara looks polished and elegant – and I still like to have my red lips in place."

What is your pre-red carpet beauty routine?
"I usually take about two hours. I like to do my own hair and make-up, I also like that alone time and the ritual of getting ready - you don’t need to pay people thousands of dollars to make you beautiful. If you have patience you can learn to do anything yourself. The men that I’ve always been in love with never ask me if I’m almost ready, if a man lets me do my thing in the bathroom, for me, that’s true love!" - HarpersBazaar.

"About an hour, if you’re me, (laughs), but if you’re not, I’ll say a little longer. I pretty much always wear my hair and make-up the same way, so it doesn’t take me much time. Practice does make you perfect. But there have been moments when I’ve overslept, and I literally have 25 minutes to get ready, so then I have to really focus and hurry it up. I’m also writing a beauty book now, so I’ve started timing myself—how long it takes me to do my eyes, how long it takes to put on lipstick, etc."

Wow. There is rarely a Dita look I don't love. I couldn't pull off most of her evenings looks but if money were no object I would have most of her day dresses copied to fit my figure and colouring. I love that she styles it all herself, including doing her own hair and make-up. Very inspiring for the average woman. I'm not going to start corsetting, but I do feel inspired to try harder!
