Dolce & Gabbana S/S 06 Milan

I really liked some pieces tho.. I didn't find it that bad, I just found it strange that it looks like really high fashion, something Galliano would do.

I was very dissapointed with this season... I haven't seen the whole collection.. but it wasn't very Dolce&Gabbana to me.. I usually love their shows..

were the models at the end in the big dresses ment to look drunk walking side to side..

hmm :D
NOT SO DOLCE VITA: About 15 Dolce & Gabbana invitations went amiss in the hands of a messenger, pushing security into high alert for the house's 20th anniversary show Thursday. The narrow street in front of the designers' new show space combined with the extra vigilance at the door — the house was alarmed that animal rights protesters could sneak in the show — created a mob scene of frustrated editors and congested traffic out front. But despite the chaos at the door, Chloë Sevigny, who walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana last March, was sitting pretty in the front row. 'I had no stress this season," she said. 'I'm just here to see the show." Not that her modeling duties are over. She said she's been posing for a lot of shoots wearing Dolce & Gabbana for anniversary articles in magazines including German Vogue and Italian Elle. Her workload continues on the small and big screens, too.

I see a mixed responce. You'll all love it when you understand it. Its not very commerical, and its difficult to try and determine a market for these garments, i think they took a considerable risk but the clothes themselves are wonderful; quite an original concept and theme to the show and i love the consistency i saw whilst watching it. Not loving straw in the hair, however
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this.

I for one understand the theme completely, they're exploring the Southern Italian culture they hold so dear, but it's terribly done. There were maybe five or six looks out of the 100 that I liked.

I don't think people are having a problem understanding the collection, I just don't think they like it, and I can completely relate.

I think the way some of the clothes were used made it to me look a bit like a cheap person would wear, I dont know if its the blue jam jar dresses or the frilly granny style net curtain dresses, but a few were nice and the clothes i guess were very d&g

wow... this is like galliano on a budget... not gabbanesque at all

some pics!

I don't like the spring/summer collection at all, it looks so trashy...

OH my... i love them... the big dresses... beauties...
I would absolutely not expecting such things from dolce...

The clothes weren't that great but the presentation and show was phenomenal. The end with the models sashaying slowly down in the hoop dresses was just amazing, especially with the black runway making it look like they were drifting.

Dolce & Gabbana have basically two moods: sleekly tailored pant suits with an exaggerated neckline and nipped waist, or extravagent corsets shown in combination with lace and whatnot. For the past two spring collections, they clearly went for the latter. You can call it Sicilian sexiness, but in my opinion it's just expensive garbage. This is Dolce's worst spring collection since, well, its last spring collection. A lot of the things look like they belong to a naughty French Maid.

But I am sure they will pick up for autumn. Their wintery stuff is much stronger.

hahaha:lol: , i'm one of the few weirdos that like it! it amazes me!hahaha:lol: . What attracts me most into it is the fact that it is very colorful and trashy. It's just so fun to look at. And there are some really cute dresses too.
:p I find this dress particularly beautiful to look at:
