Dolce & Gabbana's Couture Project

Its basically their normal collection on roids no? Embellished to the max and back.

Yea it looks like the big finale dresses they used to do when they were actually interesting

It especially reminds me of s/s 2008.

It looks like they just pumped up the volume.

Dolce & Gabbana have really been taking this whole Italian roots thing to a parodic level, I mean, Canaletto printed on a ball gown for a Venetian masked ball?

And as usual, it's only on a mere superficial level. other than the canaletto prints and the actual masks, nothing about this mess says 'venezia'. it's just the setting and the exaggerated embellishments that give that illusion, there's no study, historical relevancy, anything

How can they have become so boring and predictable? I've never been one of their biggest supporter, but at least back in the day they have always managed to do something new and interesting every season. They seriously need to go back to their roots because every collection is just the same over and over again.

I don't think they are going to surface anytime soon, they wanted to keep the collection as private as possible.

Just wait for the september issue of vogue italia and a special ~insert with the collection, just like they did with the Taormina collection.

^Looks great, especially the silk floral embroidered dress and the printed ballgown are stunning:heart:. Would love to see the full collection and details:flower:

Eugh. I'm really not a fan of Dolce & Gabbana anymore, and this new direction they're taking solidifies that. They're the epitome of a one-track mind.

Laser-cut silk taffeta - I'd love to know the washing instructions for that skirt.
