This is a translation from Dutch newspaper Het Parool. There are other sources, but this pretty much sums it up:

It's not offcially confirmed yet, as the contracts are not set up yet and negotiations are still taking place, but: there will a Dutch Vogue. A trial version has already gone to print.

Editor-in-chief for Dutch Glamour (a Condé Nast publication) Karin Swerink is rumored to head the new Vogue edition. She says: "Who wouldn't want that? But it's not official yet so I can't confirm anything." Per November 1st she will leave her Glamour reign to Sabine Geurts. Swerink says she will help adjust Geurts to her new position for three more months.

What do you think of this?

I'm guessing Lara Stone would be the debut cover girl.

The more Vogues the better: it means more work space for our models
I think if the dutch version will really come out, we will get another great edition of Vogue, since Netherlands produced so many gorgeous models and outstanding photographers.

If the info comes from the people doing the contracts+negotiations, it's probably true (that's how I first found out about Vogue India - my friend was an intern at the firm that did the legal work on it).

But yay, excited about this now! So many talented designers, models and photographers are Dutch, their Vogue should be excellent - I hope it is, anyway.

It's a shame this wasn't discussed seriously at the height of the Dutch model explosion back in 2000/01. Miss those days...

With all the great Dutch photographers in the industry, the great designers located in their next door neighbor Belgium, and blue chip brands like Calvin Klein and Prada relying heavily on the Dutch models for their runway shows each season this certainly makes sense. Hope this takes off, and that they model themselves after Vogue Australia and feature a lot of their home country talent in each issue.

I'd love to see this. Dutch magazines are quite good in general, even their Glamours have really nice image content (compared to other European ones).

This is exciting news/rumors/whatever you call it. I've been wondering when I started getting into fashion why there is no Dutch version of Vogue because they're some of the most talented people in the industry.

they said NO to vogue Africa (a continent)
yet they still making more Vogues for a singular country! SMH

Great news! Im looking forward to see the premiere cover.
They have the best models there Lara Daphne Saskia. Of course there will be VOGUE.

I'm really excited about this as well. Vogue Holland has always been a fantasy of mine. I hope they will find a way to make Vogue Holland stand out from the Dutch magazine crowd. Most Dutch glossies (save one or two) rely heavily on celebrity covers and gossip talk for contents. I hope they won't go down that road. Instead they should look at what Vogue China and Turkey are doing. They're doing a great job with featuring local fashion people while still producing internationally relevant imagery. With the roster of models and photographers that Holland has to offer, that shouldn't be a problem.

The first cover will probably go to Lara or Doutzen. Most likely to Doutzen as hardly anyone in Holland knows who Lara is and Doutzen is quite the celebrity around here. Personally I envision a group shot with all the top and up and coming Dutch models that are around today. There's enough of them to fill two years worth of covers.

The first issue is set to appear somewhere in the Spring of 2012. If the rumors are true of course.

If they could also include a Dutch Mensen Vogue... now that would be amazing. Funny because just the other day I was making a Vogue Belgium Mensen for the Cover Challenge but I couldnt manage to make a nice cover

Thank You! It's d**n shame but business as usual....

Of course it's business!
I'm sure there are not many people in Africa who can afford themselves bying designer clothes or even bying a glossy magazine once a month since it's still a poverty-stricken continent. And I'm sure there are much more current problems in Africa than not having their own Vogue :innocent:

You've probably never heard of Elle South Africa...

Anyways, I see this magazine mirroring Chinese Vogue. I hope..

i am not sure about this. First i have to see it before judging i guess

Wow, so excited!
Are there any job openings? :P

Haha I thought that immediately and then realised that I don't speak Dutch...

It would be fantastic to see and so logical, I mean historically speaking Holland has had an ENORMOUS influence on European art which has naturally filtered into European fashion. Not to mention all the wonderful Dutch models, photographers and journalists.
