Ed Westwick

I can't help but come to this thread and stare at the pictures and swoon. He's just sooooooo handsome. I can't stop staring. :p

^^No, not yet.

He's in London today to promote Chalet Girl and the premiere is tomorrow, so we'll get new pics. ;)

He talked about GG fashion in one of his interviews from today:

Natalie Beeley: Chuck Bass gets to wear some pretty 'unique' suits on GG, eccentric gent comes to mind, does he actually like them?

EW: They’re super comfy suits and they all get tailored exactly to fit me. The outfits are extraordinary and the budget for the wardrobe on that show must be horrendous.

DB: Is it a super-cool, famous NY tailor?

EW: The tailor’s in-house and we get a fitting each week for each episode. But it all takes the glamour out of wearing suits outside the show. Whenever I go to an event that’s appropriate to go to in a suit, it takes the fun out of it! I wear them day in day out in the show – it’s ironic as I dress in business-formal for the job as an actor.

DB: It’s a bit like girls wearing too much make-up for the office – you don’t feel dressed up for a night out as there’s no transition.

EW: Exactly the same thing! But at least you’re ready to go out straight from the office!

I love his scruff! He looks great at that Awards show too.

Interesting interview. He said something similar to Gotham: he knows he dressed great on GG, but always being dressed to the nines can be taxing, which is why his personal style is soooooo laid-back. (That, and per many other interviews, he really does love a basic style of jeans and leather jackets.)

I wouldn't have guessed they have a personal tailer given that Boomer is always pointing out how the menswear is wrong in one way or another in the how the suits are fitted.

I too immediately thought of Boomer when I read that interview.

* One does not wear a suit jacket with just the top button buttoned.... * :innocent:

You should be his stylist, Booms, help him out a bit.

But isn't it a fashion rule to leave the bottom button unbuttoned?

(BTW, the suit is Jil Sander, if anyone's interested.)

he's just wearing suit in every appearances.. kinda bored.. i want something different..

You are correct, I was wrong because: The button "stance" (Location on the front of the jacket) is all wrong and I thought it was a three-button front...(I should know by now none of these thing are what they should be...) Usually, the button in question is nearest the waistline; with these ridiculous new Teddy Boy/Mod suits, the balance is all off due to how short the "skirt" (bottom of the jacket) is- making one look like he is on his way to his first communion and is already outgrowing the suit!! The traditional rule is- Two button front: Center (top) button only is buttoned; three button front: either the middle or the top two buttons are buttoned...And you are quite right also- for any number of buttons on a double breasted front, the bottom button is left undone, as is the bottom one on any sort of vest...B)

*Crossing Jil Sander off of my list for suit shopping....Tom Ford, btw is one of the best at "getting it all", but I think he picked much of his expertise up from Ralph Lauren, who is a walking encyclopedia on these things...)

Thanks for an explanation, Booms, I really love reading your fashion essays! ^_^

(And Ed wearing Tom Ford would be  )

I'm definitely loving the scruff he has going on. He's such an attractive man that I can ALMOST turn a blind eye to his style.

Those bracelets are starting to bother me. He had like 2 before but it's becoming too much now with the colored ones as well.
