Edie Sedgwick #2

Funny how it was made for non-Edie fans when ONLY an Edie fan could watch it and gain any idea of its intended purpose. Had I watched it without being a fan I would wonder why in the hell anybody fell so head over heels over this silly, bland, wannabe.

Yeah I agree with everyone, the movie was so poorly made. It always annoyed me when I would hear people talking about it and events that happened in the movie like they really happened in her life. And the quotes make me want to punch whoever wrote the script......"You're the boss, applesauce"?? I mean, seriously??

anyways I found this pic of flickr, I know its a repost but I personally have not seen it this clear before...but it very well may have been posted.

videos of Edie from "Andy Warhol's Factory People," that aired on Ovation. I recorded from my television because I broke my DVD drive on my laptop. I miss it. Hopefully, in the future I can upload, or someone else, a better version.

A short video of her dancing with other factory people. I do believe it's at the same time that Nat Finkelstein took the photos of her with the veil.

a video of the Edie segment from the documentary. There's nothing really too significant, except a short interview, and two clips from "Restuarant" and "Lupe."

Ohh thank you!! I hope Factory People comes out on dvd soon. I've been dying to see it.

it is out, but it costs 30 dollars... and is on a dvd recordable, but the quality is really good. there are no extra features though.

I want it but i don't think i'd pay $30. There's an amazing video store here and they always get the movies people recommend so i'll tell them to get that one.

Thank you for the clips Lupe! Love the "silver girl" nomenclature for her, and how Edie moves! WOW - SO COOL, and such an adorable adorable fun woman. I am teaching a biography course next spring and plan to teach the EDIE bio. Should be a gas!! Hope the students love it!

If you've never seen the book "Andy Warhol's Index Book"
here's your chance, in video form.

It's not my video. But a few years ago I went to the library at University of New Mexico, and they had a copy. It was falling apart and was kept in a the non-circulating area. I had to use the Copier, they wouldn't let me use the scanner for some reason.

I've seen it for a couple hundred before and now i wish i had gotten it!

I went to the "love fear pleasure lust pain glamour death Andy Warhol Media Works" exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum yesterday. They had a lot of Warhol's original photobooth shots on display, including two strips (4 photos each) of Edie in the leopard skin coat. Wow - she looks amazing in them. They also had up a lot of polaroids as well as two rooms dedicated to the screen tests. I sat stationary in front of "Edie"'s screentest from start to finish. She doesn't do much, like in most of the tests, but her eyes are so huge! And her earrings, of course, are fabulous. It's like she's staring right at you!! If anyone is near Seattle, go see it. The Kurt Cobain exhibit is on there too, until Sept.

These are similar to the ones I saw, but the ones I saw were better as she was looking at the camera in most of them and they were originals, so very clear. You could see her make up application.

I'm definitely planning on seeing both of those exhibits this month! Thanks for sharing!

A few years back David Weisman emailed me, and thanked me for promoting edienation, and he sent two images through email to my school email. I was trying to arrange all of my Edie images in one file folder, and realized that one of the two images he sent was missing. So I went to my school email, only to find out they deleted my account. Hopefully I saved the missing image some place else..l but as of now, I'm a little devastated. Lol.

Here's one of the images that I uploaded on my Edie myspace.

Very cool Lupe :flower::flower: - wish that photo was a tad clearer; is Edie wearing glasses?

Sorry if someone has already posted this, but those of you in LA you might want to check this out!

"Co-director David Weisman will be in person, along with co-stars Wesley Hayes and Jeff Briggs to share their memories -- and this special screening will be accompanied by the monstrously cool, very rare 30-minute documentary Edie: Girl On Fire, made up of outtakes, rare audio recordings, photographs, and more!"

I hope the documentary will be more than 30 minutes! I feel like we've already seen 30 minutes worth of clips on youtube.

I´m thinking the same.... though it sounds like that was the only documentary coming out... :(
