Electric / Neon Colors S/S 07

Often in yellow, electric blue, or hot pink, accents of neon seem to be a big street trend that has translated to the runway this season. Lucky also recently did an article on "how to wear a pop of neon." I think it looks great contrasted with a neutral shade, which there is a lot of for spring! YAY I love it!!! I like colors, especially bold colors because I have dark skintone and my audacious personality! I would wear neon colors in small portions with all neutural colors, and apology to people who loathes colors

I'm torn on this one. Day-glo was everywhere when I was growing up (ah, a child of the 90s.), so I developed a hatred for it. Some of the Christopher Kane is nice though...not really wearable though.
I'd be curious to see how this continues. If there are some wearable items, then I may just end up liking this. We'll see...

Funny i saw this thread, earlier today i got so inspired by finding a very 80s-inspired, Marni-ish, purlpe necklace. Of course, i bought it, and it will look soo good with my lightly oversized, deeper o-neck, pink sweater, looser jeans, a red headband, and some yellow bangles. Very colour-splash, very 80s.

I think is a very 'new rave' styleeee. Quite like it but I can see it getting old really quickly. It's also so hard to pull off unless you're going to a rave.

I think this is decent on the runway, but it will get snapped up by the scenesters in a second IMO. I think I will just skip straight to the "Omg I'm sick of seeing this on everyone with bangs and some vintage shoes" stage of trendiness on this one. (This was meant in jest, please don't take offense if you have bangs and vintage shoes!)

i love it, but yes, i can see it becoming huge for next summer, it's just one of those trends that get abused so easily .
my favorite looks were karen walker's, all the acid yellow and pink accesories look like a lot of fun and I'd much rather sticking to accents rather than a piece of clothing with this.

i think that first preen dress is incredible.

I have a neon pink bag i never use, and that's as far as i'll be going for now.

I have electric blue tights.
I bought them when I was 14ish and still wear them occasionally.
I got some interesting reactions to them.
And woah, I'd have to agree with Strawberry_Daiquiri...the dress is incredible.

I love, love, love neon... what I always called florescent especially the yellow. I really love the yellow when its in combination with a nude... really beautiful.

Out of all the colors, I personally love the electric blue. It's just so striking to me!

I love the florescent yellows especially. I think a hint of it looks awesome with denim or grey.
