There are alot of things one could call Tara Subkoffs designing, and 'talented' is not one of them, I'm afraid.

Orochian said:Roberto Cavalli - I find most of his designs incredibly vulgar and garish. His catwalk shows are like the annual gathering of whores and hustlers. The male eqivalent of Donatella Versace. BTW, I don't consider her a "designer", so she doesn't even deserve a seprate place in this list.
Casualuxury said:You have to remember, Cavalli was born to an impressionist painter father and a tailor mother. His main goal is to mix art with fashion. Mainly impressionist art. That is the reason for all of the crazy colors, and wild ideas. Because its not really like oh here is a basic peice you can wear with a nice pair of pants its more you can buy one peice and pair it with many plain peices for a juxtaposition of patterns. Anyways i wish mabey that some people, not just you, would simply do research before bashing a designer for trying to be creative that is all.
Scott said:I agree. His clothes aren't really geared toward anybody but rich socialites or socialite-wannabe's with an extremely snobbishly conservative wardrobe. It's really like a higher end St. John by Marie Gray, really.

Yep yep yep.faust said:What a bunch of bulls**t. You think just because he was born of a painter and a tailor the vulgar trash he produces is somehow automatically justified? Trash is trash, does not matter where it came from or what it was influenced by.

I'm not sure I see what's not to get about Yohji and Hedi.

Someday said:OMG.....It isn't just me......someone else sees it (or, more to the point, doesn't see it) too!
How much does it cost to build that kind of hype?
