This happened to me not long ago, and it was awful!
The person I shopped with went looking kinda sloppy, but hey whatever, I can deal, but the worse thing was, her breath was really skanky , and that is VERY unlike her, so it annoyed me even more. I left my cards in some draw at home and I only had like 60$ cash with me, we looked at stores I didn't wanna go into, the place was sooooooo unbelieveably crowded, it was awful! And you know what else? I had to WALK there and back! In the roasting heat! Why in the world anyone would CHOOSE to walk to go shopping is beyond me! Also, while I love to eat sweet fatty things, and I am like the world record holder for eating chocolate mousse, if I eat really rich chocolate on an empty stomach I feel really sick. But I was so starving, so I bought a box of belgian chocolates and made myself feel really sick. It's so fun feeling sick even if it's your own fault and you could have avoided it! Oh, and I saw some really atrocious Louis Vuitton try hard bags with Guess written on them:yuk: Then, my lovely shopping partner ragged on Paris Hilton, which is something I really have to patience in listening to:lol:
All in all, I was shopping, and I did NOT have fun! That really does not happen.
Anyone else ever had an awful time shopping?

not long ago i was trying a blazer on at gapkids, and some bitter woman wasn't minding her own business and decided to tell me and my sister that the blazer was too small for me. mind you, she didn't work there, she was just shopping there. so i bought it out of spite. but yes, the rest of my day was ruined anyway, in fact, it bothered me for days.

This is a joke right?!

Well haha where do i began.

I went shopping on my birthday because all I ask for was money so I can spent it on whatever I want. Well we first went to this high-end outlet place which has high end shop like Versace and Armani mix with Gap and Levis well walking into French Connection and I sense some form of snubbery for none of the salesperson helped me and I take it personally all the time that I did something wrong (I'm young) so yes ruined my mood for the day that I had to buy ugly clothing to make me feel better for the moment.

When I was picking up some stuff for my mom's birthday as Saks Fifth Avenue with my brother we was totally annoying me. It was early and I'm not a morning person and here he was running around and playing around with the Salvatore Ferragamo and knowing his luck he's gonna ruin something and my mom is gonna end up with the bill for her birthday so we just got into a huge fight blah blah blah: I did hit him with the Prada purse I got for my mom though which suprisingly help.

Another moment at Saks Fifth Avenue. Me and my mom got the monthly facial at Clarins and that takes at least an hour and wow, my brother was with us again! He wasn't patient and as soon as we got our purchases and said goodbye to our friends there we wanted to look at cologne for Christmas but my brother was already throwing a fuss. We got into an argument again. Ruin my day for I was ready to strangle him everytime he talk. I still love him though haha.

One time I was at Hollister with my friend (I swear! :ninja:) and already encountering rude salespeople I left BUT the place is f*cking dark and crammed and apparently the bimbos who shop there would move when I ask them so I had to physically rammed into their fat *** so I can get out. b*tches, made me rest for the rest of the night,

One time at GoodWill the people who work there were just yelling around telling people how much time they had left. I couldn't even find anything for their voice just irk the hell out of me.

And most recently as I was shopping for Christmas this group of pre-teen girl look at me and than look at my bags (The noisy b*tches just stared at the Coach, Nordstrom bags) and then perceed to walk across me than stop. What the hell? They gave me an EVIL look and stop me in my way. Hell I was piss enough since it was early but this time I ate. I perceed to shoulder knock the one who gave me the look down. I think she fell halfway before holding onto one of her friend. I gave the look she gave me back. Actually that cheered me up

My, my...what a delightful thread this is.

I usually have an awful time shopping, because I'm terribly particular about what I buy, and rarely find what I want within my price range.

Em

I get terrible headaches from time to time when I'm walking around, especially when I don't drink enough water. I hate it because I loose all my motivation to shop...

As for the "people" experience...
I was shopping at MAC and intended to do some serious wallet damage while I was there... Unfortunately the sales lady was terribly snobby, so she saved my wallet but killed my mood.

 i can only shop alone :ninja: otherwise i feel guilty about beng a spoilted brat  I think thats why big handbags were invented... to hide shopping binges :innocent:

This has happened me to lots of times! I can wear a size 10/12 in Kid's clothing so I sometimes shop in that section for jackets because the women sizes are too big.

I hate it when people feel they need to comment on whatever you're trying on or purchasing, it's really none of their business.

If it happens to me again I might just say something unpleasant back.

RUDE salespeople at versace boutique in nyc (some idiot man with blonde hair), bebe valley fair (they thought they were versace), LV valley fair, neiman marcus palo alto (this absobleepingly horrible b*tch named susan in sunglasses), MAC just about everywhere, macys just about everywhere, and bettina duncan at sh*tsegal in santa monica (this one's gotta be the winner as i'm still in a credit dispute).
i've come to hate the words...
"ma'am i AM the manager" "these were just put on display today, no one has touched them"

I hate shopping most of the time..

Hmm.. A story.. Once a girl walked in on me in a dressing room (it was one with a curtain) she thought I was her sister or something.. And I was standing there in my underwear I was mortified!

oh my...i hear ya! i absolutely HATE LV at valleyfair. they think they're hot crap because they're LV. in valley freakin' fair. oh WOW...how...great - it's still a mall that houses every mainstream brand under the American sun! not so exclusive! i went in there one time and they all flocked to me because i had gone straight from church - full on suit and manolos plus one of their bags (i forget which one) ...2 months later, i had on my jeans and a tee and they completely ignored me. i went to purchase something...but i spent the money at LV at union square instead. their loss.

and i'm LMAO at the "these were just put on display today, no one has touched them" oh please - save that for the people who look like they want a display model that's been pawed over.

OT, Meowmix, where are from? It sounds like you're from the bay area cause I shop at Valley Fair too

I like going to the Valley Fair LV cause there's more of a selection there than the one in Carmel. and the Norstrom's there is the closest Nordstroms for me.

Snobby stuck up salespeople can ruin a shopping trip. If your not dressed up looking like you have money they won't give you the time of day. Even though I probably spend in a day what they make in a month. I think those little b*tches at Saks forget that they don't own the store they just work there.

whats valleyfair? cause all I can picture is the amusement park here in minnesota ...haha

I hate snobby store people, I loooove the nice ones, but you just know that whether it Vuitton or Gap that these people make retail wages regardless.

But one time I accidentally booked like three full on photo shoots to style in a day and forgot about of them. Four models each, three-four looks per shoot, and it was absolute hell to shop for. And these weren't just test shoots. One of them I just called up a bunch of distributors and show rooms for designer clothes, but one of them was a creative and I had to shop for it, and the other one was an editorial that wanted to highlight vintage clothes in Toronto, so I was all over the city for the day.

And one time I had a client that must have been jessica simpsons long lost twin. She was just a twit, and her feet smelled soo bad. Anyways, she was going to a casual wedding and wanted something to wear. I told her we should go to this boutique, but she insisted that we go to Holt Renfrew, and an upscale district called yorkville in Toronto. Anywho we didn't find anything she liked (although there were like a thousand possible outfits we could have put her in). So after 6 horrible hours hearing about her boyfriend and her dog, and how her mom is a control freak, she agreed to go to the boutique, and we found her something there. If i didn't get paid for that, i would have just left and hung out with my boyfriend.

Valley Fair is a mall in San Jose, CA.

The other day I went to the Gap and tried on a pair of jeans. I didn't like them, so I folded them up like they do on the shelves, and I was going to give them to the dressing room clerk chick. She was seperating the other clothes that had been tried on, so I said excuse me so I could hand her the jeans. She turns around and takes them and just lazily drops them onto another pile and was like "thaaannkks." like she was annoyed and she kinda rolled her eyes. I just stared at her for a second and was like what the hell, I was trying to be nice! and wanted to hit her with my bag!

There are also makeup people at like Saks that are stuck up that annoys me. The girls at MAC are always so much nicer to me.

pointup, as lizzy said valley fair is a mall in sj.. it sells like the usual midrange kinda mall stuff... abercrombie, hollister, banana, gap, guess, ninewest, etc. with a nordstroms and macys...exception there would be the LV store, which used to carry ready to wear but not anymore... service there is def mixed. there was this girl there who was such a sourfaced brat and then instantly lit up and started making conversation with my mom and me when my mom decided on a suhali.
lizzy, yes i'm from the bay area... valley fair is only a 15 min drive away... i go there alot less now cuz of the crowds, but some of the restaurants across the street are pretty good... and gucci also across the street is great.
