Eyeliner

Can anyone recommend a liquid/gel liner that comes in bright, vibrant colors but stays put well? Is mac good?

Too faced do a clear liquid eyeliner that you mix with coloured eyesahdow to make any colour you want. Its fab, you can get it on its own or with a book of eyeshadows. Its really good.

What's a good liquid eyeliner that's easy to apply?
And is MAC the best brand for an overall kohl eyeliner or are there better brands?
Thanks!

I've heard that Alice Glass from Crystal Castles uses black lipstick as eyeliner instead of a pencil or liquid liner. I found that interesting. Has anyone tried that out?

It's not so much the brand of eyeliner, but how you apply it. I apply liquid eyeliner by running the brush over the back of my hand and then take an eyeliner brush and dip it into the liquid and then apply. The application is much easier and you have less of a chance of it running all over the place.

^^I so love those girls! They're so matter-of-fact and so very talented!

MAC is pretty much unbeatable. This new brand Illamasqua is fun and had some nice colours. Also, good old Ben Nye if you want deep, highly pigmented lines by brush application and they stay put FOREVER. The BenNye lippies are good too, although a bit drying.

Not only Mac, there is "Ecriture de Chanel",
"YSL eyeliner" that really easy to apply and nice blue tone colour,
"Armani eye soft pencil"..., this one also amazing, soft and registered.
"Guerlain loose powder kohl" the texture with a high concentration in pigments guarantees an impeccable hold and a good tolerance.

Mac is fantastic. The fluid liner gel is the best.

This isn't the best of pictures; I can't be arsed to take another but this is how I do my eyeliner with the Mac fluid gel liner using an angled brush. I usually use a really light/pink/white/peach eyshadow along with it as it makes it stand out.

I want to try the liner in purple and pink as well.

^I  it! That is exactly why I want to get Blacktrack and an angled brush, I just love that look...

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Armani Maestro Eye Liner...totally worth it!! very easy to apply, and you can control the width of the line..and great for flicks too!!!

^Is that liquid? I bought the By Terry eyeliner, it has a felt tip type applicator - first time trying on my hand, perfectly black. Second time on my eyes, pale, watery, barely any colour at all! Totally disappointing

I find the mac penultimate a nightmare to use, but my friends have a great time with it. I never get it black or thick enough.

What is the darkest, blackest most striking eyeliner people would recommend. I just tried to use my blacktrack again, and it's so dry!

^ I think you could get a striking/blackest look out of any eyeliner, as long as you keep going over and layering. I find the blacktrack to be the most striking though, because of its consistency and precision. Liquid eyeliner has a wet-look to it where as fluidliner has a smoother look.
The nice thing about blacktrack is you can make it very black and thick (that's why I thank God for brushes), or you can make it really light, thin, and almost grey-looking (more appropriate for day wear) if you put only a little on the brush and do one or two strokes.

its liquid like a pen sorta, but the good thing about it, it never runs nor dries...and when you put it on your lid its a dark black line, and u can control the width of the line..

I love liquidlast liner from MAC... the color is rich and its long lasting.. you will have to use makeup remover to clean it... I use it everyday

I think I'm going to have to invest in another blacktrack. I bought the bobbi brown gel liner and it just comes off in minutes on my oily lids, so fingers crossed Blacktrack will be the winner in the staying put stakes.

I have problems with the idea of liquidlast because it's SO stayfast I have been stuck with it on my lids for days and they've gone bright red trying to get it off!

has anyone tried the YSL longlasting eye liner pencil ?
was it god? stayed on? etc.

and for liquid eyeliner, which would you guys reccomend
