Eyeliner

has anyone tried the YSL longlasting eye liner pencil ?
was it god? stayed on? etc.

and for liquid eyeliner, which would you guys reccomend

I bought the YSL longlasting eye liner, i did not like it one bit
i prefer the Armani Maestro eye liner.

^ thanks.
i find that my Sephora eye liner works so well, it stays on, doesn't smudge, and is dark black the way i like it.
but i wanted to try something else.
any recommendations ?

okay.
i was just reading some reviews about the Dior Style Liquid Liner and decided to come here.

has anyone here tried it ?
is it worth the $30+ :ermm:

anyone here have any recommendations for a waterproof liquid eyeliner that has a pen-like tip? i've been on the hunt and can't find one that's waterproof and actually works! i really love the maybelline one i'm using now but it's crap when the slightest tiny tear hits it! (like when i yawn or cough). it says waterproof but it totally is NOT!

^I have used the Maybelline one before too. I found the same problem! If you do find a waterproof one, would you let me know, pretty please

woo hooo! just found one exactly what i was looking for! just like the maybelline one but it actually works. it's from a store called The Face Shop and it's in vancouver, canada. they have a website too...

I'm on the hunt for a good liquid liner as well. I have one by maybelline but it's kind of crappy. I want to find one that's kind of matte and not shiny, like most liquid liners. I think I might just go with a gel liner. I'm thinking either Stila smudge pots or the one by Bobbi Brown. Does anybody have experience with either or any other recommendations?

I got Dior Precision liquid liner a while ago and I really like it, it's very easy to use and easy to fix if you make a mistake

I got the 208 brush and Blacktrack Fluidline, it's really really easy. And it lasts for ages

^ida, thats my go-to combination as well
except i reach for my 209 liner brush more often.

it look gorgeous on you, the wing really accentuates your eyeshape beautifully.

i find 'blitz & glitz' is a lovely alternative to 'blacktrack' . . its has a little bit of shimmer to it. i wear it on my waterline too.
it works like a charm.

Hey guys, I have a quiiick question. ;D
Which eyeliner do you think is the best color eyeliner? D:

Because to tell you the truth, I've never actually used color eyeliner, so I'm not sure what brand etc. would be the best. :/

Haha, thankss. Clueless. >.<

Oh, the colour depends on your own colouring and what look you want. A line on the top lid or a flicked cat eye in a bold color is one of the easiest ways to update and create an interesting "face".

-BRANDS-

MAC is ideally the best liner and loads of fun colours

Illamasqua is a new British line that has every colour a girl could ask for! Ships to US I believe

Urban Decay always has fun packaging and hues

YSL and Lancome for basic colours

The Ida: Looks good! I use the 266 brush pretty much always with my blacktrack.

Ah, thanks Veda.
I saw MAC and I did like their range.
Bellapierre has a great range too.

Sammm, NARS has a great selection of coloured eyeliners. I was having a play around with them today :flower:

NARS! Duh! They're selection is ace...completely slipped my mind!

I just bought Lancome's Artliner in Brown and it's so perfect. Very easy to apply due to its felt pen tip, but more importantly it's the perfect shade of brown! I simply cannot wear black eyeliner, it's so unflattering on me. I have light olive skin and somehow black eyeliner always looks cheap and awkward on me.

Many brown eyeliners on the other hand are too bright or reddish, which is good sometimes because it pops against the green of my eyes/skin. But I wanted something that wouldn't be too intrusive in my overall makeup routine; just something to bump up the contrast of my eyes. So for that bold yet neutral look I found it in the Artliner.

It's so easy to get a perfect thin line with this. Very good for those unpracticed with liquid eyeliners.

What brush does everyone use to apply mac fluidline? I bought the mac 263 brush but it's too hard to work with... since I'm a beginner what kind of brush should I use?

^I use the 208 with no problems at all, I'm new to it too. I think it works fine though

I've been looking for brighter coloured eyeline pencils for ages and I just discovered a new brand - it's just called 'Make Up Store' and I think it's Swedish originally. Anyway, they have a great selection of coloured eyeliners - even larger than MAC's. I've also been really impressed by the staying power. Not cheap, though, sadly.
