I know, I can't wait either, my focus now is on seeing new season ads, and I'm not really interested in anything else in a magazine. I think we might have to wait a little longer than a week though for the more "monied" magazines like Tatler & Harpers that carry the high-end campaigns. UK Elle & Marie Claire will come out first, but don't seem to attract that much high-end advertising any more, though there'll be a lot of other new season ads, like Bally. UK Vogue seems to be coming out earlier each month, but may not be here next week. We will be tantalised for a while further, I think.

But right now I really want to know who's doing Marc by Marc! So surprised there's no word on that yet. But I guess we'll find out soon enough...

I HATE living in this "off" country, though, and never get to feel the excitement of being the first to see an ad.

"Karl Lagerfeld wants to make a fairy tale out of Fendi's new fragrance. In Rome on Monday at a party to fete the launch of the new scent Palazzo, the designer unveiled a book with the same name. Featuring a series of photos by Lagerfeld, the hardback — scripted by Amanda Harlech — tells the story of modern Roman princess Allegra, played by model Raquel Zimmermann, in a love triangle with American fiancée Burt (model Brad Kroenig) and Italian ex-flame Bartolomeo (model Jake Davis). Lagerfeld shot the book's images in the 14th-century Palazzo Taverna in January, where he also captured Zimmermann for the advertising campaign. "It was a lot of fun and all of the models really got into their characters by the end," said Lagerfeld just before 100 guests arrived for an exhibition of the photos and dinner in Palazzo Fendi. "Palazzo" will be sold in several independent bookstores, including Colette in Paris."
