F/W 07.08 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

I don't like her at all, she seems stuck up. I really hope it's not mainline.

I love Emma, in a few years I think she's going to be gorgeous. And she certainly doesn't come across as stuck-up IMO.

i actually like emma's personality, at least from what i've heard of it
i don't think she's that pretty. she's cute, but her nose bothers me ... and she's a dreadful actress

I like her but that's not what bothers me... She's an actress, not a model! :innocent: They are taking covers and editorials from models, now campaings, are actresses going to be opening the shows on fashion week now?

That's why I don't want her there... :(

^You said that perfect................that's exactly how I feel:doh:

Emma Watson? Never heard of her. If I haven't heard of them, they aren't enough of a celeb for a brand like Chanel IMO. I thought you meant Emma Roberts.

^ She plays Hermione in the Harry Potter films. :flower:

I don't like this move on Chanel's part mainly because it's taking jobs away from models, the people who truly deserve it.

I'm not suprised by it much either, I too noticed her multiple Chanel dresses lately, and it kind of now seemed like logical PR. I think shes a really beautiful girl, and it will be interesting to see the results!

If she's a one-season experiment for Chanel, who are smart enough to capitalise on Harry Potter's clean image and worldwide exposure, fair enough.

Her persona in print interviews is starting to sound unlikeable, but any smart girl will soon learn to measure what she says, now that people are paying her attention as an adult.

I'm not applauding this choice, but they could have opted for a more horrible celeb..so it's not all bad news.

I think the daily express is a dubious source. I question how Emma Watson would get more than Nicole Kidman ($3.7 million, Guinness Book of Records).

The Loewe site was updated for F/W and it's indeed Jessica Stam.

So unless that booker spoke to soon, there was a misunderstanding, or Stam's doing a separate campaign for the Loewe Road bag or something, then I guess it's a two-girl campaign....

if this is true, maybe she'll be in adverts for accessories or handbags? i would venture to say that it won't be anything as major as a perfume campaign or ready to wear ads.

I think you're right. It just can not be for a major line. :ninja:

Liu Jo - M: Mona Johannssen, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Info: D Republicca [Naiad]

Hate to be a drag, but wasn't I the one who first posted the info on this campaign?

Probably handbags -- at least according to the trend, the handbags line has been more consistently showcased by celebrities. This will be interesting!

Agree  Can't wait to see Emma's ed ^_^ You all talking about her age, but seriously there are a lot of models under 17 who working with big brands ;) ( Tanya D was 15 when she was at JPG ad ^_^)

So I'm glad it's Emma

more news about emma and a possible contract:

'Emma Watson, best known as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, has been signed by Kate Moss’s UK-based agency Storm, with rumors that she may land a contract with Chanel.'
