next season we'll see GaGa in a major campaign. i feel it in my bones. hahaa.

Rihanna suits the D&G aesthetic, in my opinion. it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see her in one of their campaigns. not that it would thrill me, but it wouldn't surprise me.

am i reading the first page correctly --- does Natasha Poly not have a single campaign booked for this season?! wow. that's unfortunate.

I think the UTM could be Ester Apelskog, which would make sense as she is also a Swedish model.

I don't get the all the buzz around Eliza Cummings,she just got a Vogue Italia cover for some unknown reason,walked like 1 show in FW08 season (which was like Marc by Marc Jacobs and not a major one like Versace or Gucci) and then??...she's pratically a nobody,I think I'm even more famous then her but people still talk about her

Well, she actually had 1-2 strong Marsh bookings for FW09 and Loewe in Paris, it wasn't like she didn't get bookings i assume it's rather been on her agency's part to avoid overexpose and keep everything well-considered. She quite had Ashley Brokaw on her side in New York this season as well. Virsually speaking, she's absolutely not my cup of tea but i have to admit that she is able to model quite well regarding her current Vogue Italia Editorial and stuff she did for i-D before.
I'm not too fond on her being part of the Balenciaga campaign, it couldn't get any more random here, but it could have been even worse (Fri-Jak ) at least.
As for Baby Phat - Meisel seems to love Eliza, she's really a quirky model and thus the casting make sense to me.

Because its a brand that sells clothes, that has cutomers. Why not?
he is a photographer, whats wrong with taking pictures?
Maybe he wants to contribute to changing the image of these brands.

^How is Frida and Jac a bad thing for Balenciaga, if it could've happaned, when compared to Eliza? If anything, Frida and Jac have a major upper hand when it comes to modeling. Frida and Jac would make sense, have the perfect qualities (personal opinion), and yet exude these timeless looks unlike Eliza who's just your average punk wannabe girl I could easily find at my school. Eliza for Balenciaga just sounds straight up wrong.

I know right. I was shocked that he's shooting Juicy at first. But the more I think on it the more it makes sense. I'm curious to see how it turns out.

Ahh Well. She wil be dumped probs next season like many models by Meisel. I want to know about Versace and Anna Sui. And yeah if Nimue Smit got something

Versace is seriously taking forever, as well as the complete casts for Valentino and Miu Miu.

I'm not particularly into Eliza but her work with Meisel for Vogue Italy was everything but horrid in my opinion - okay she didn't come off as extraordinary but she looked beyond decent. Anyway I don't mind seeing her for Juicy Couture since I've never paid attention to the brand per se, and for Balenciaga, well, I prefer not to jump to conclusions too fast, and just wait and see.
