The Fascinator is called such for a reason. These often fantastic displays of fascinating feathery formal attire reside on the head and often emphasize height over width. Such a vertical display often raises the curiosity of "How does that stay on her head?" What you don't see is the clip, comb, headband, or elastic strap securing it in place. The bolder the better when it comes to these creative creations. It is truly wearing art when you can take any random object and affix it to your head. From a birds nest to a shoe, anything can become a fascinator. Most adornments include feathers, flowers or tulle. A birdcage veil on a fascinator can replace the more traditional veil of a bride. The fascinator has become so readily accepted in society today, much to the thanks of the oh so fashionable (sometimes questionable) Royal Family. We salute you, for bringing such high fashion and vertical headgear to the States. Perhaps the fascinator really does make us more open minded to different ideas for head-wear?
