Favorite Time For Fashion

yeah! The Jam were the best
It must have been great being in your late teens in the 60's

Yeah, the Father of Mod, Paul Weller, SO HOT, my Gosh, SO HOT  :brows:
My fave decade are the 70s because of all that sexuality fearless revealled. Just take a look at a 60s Vogue with models posing like dolls and the 70s where you get leggggs, beautiful bodies and much more stylish flesh.
But if there is a reason I want the TimeMachine to exist is to spend all the 1973 in the middle of the Glam Rock Era!! Bowie, Bolan, Iggy, Lou, all those crazy b*tches (lovefully said  ), yeah.

20ies, late 40ies (New Look), 50ies, early 60ies, 90ies..

in honour to the Father of Mod.. I'd love to be that cigarette, damn it...:p

hmm 40's and 50's because people actually cared how they looked and dressed up more.. I mean I know there were some who didn't but still it was such a glamourous time. But I really can find things I like about any decade;)

I'm not sure where to put these, but here you go.. These pictures are from 1967 French Elle..:heart::heart::blush:

^ I agree with '20s ... there's also something appealing about Jane Austen's muslins ...

^ Funny you should mention that period, because in the years since I started this topic (which I honestly have no recollection of ) I've come to appreciate the Empire/Regency period a lot more than I used to.

I think it has to do with learning about it in fashion history classes, about how the Mervilleuse (daring fashionista's of the day) would wear their ivory muslin gowns sheer enough to be indecent even by today's standards. It added an edge to an otherwise very delicate and sweet period in fashion history.

^ I agree ... it's not as innocent as it seems :innocent: Talk about your tights as pants ... except then it was men doing it. They seem to have spent an awful lot of time looking at & commenting on each other's figures :p

I love the 20s and the 40s the most. However, 20s style clothing doesn't suit my body. I also really love finding things from the Victorian era that I can incorporate into my wardrobe. Although it isn't necessarily my favorite era, most of my vintage is 50s as that seems to suit my figure the best.

Late 70's early 80's .. orginal punks, the hippys of the 70's still lingering about

I also love the 30's and 40's

I'm bang into the 60s at the moment. Probably cos I'm listerning to alot of beatles & the last shadow puppets. Music always seems to have a influence in how I dress I think the two just go hand in hand.
