Favourite Movie Scene?

So many memories in this thread

I just finished watching the Rules of Attraction, i think Dick (Russel Sams) deserves his own movie! I love the scene with Dick, Paul and their mothers at lunch in the hotel.
And when Lauren and Sean meet in the hall and the cameras pan outwards...
And the suicide scene.

God, i love this movie!
I love love love Victor's part where he talks about his trip around Europe in that incredibly fast tone. Soooo funny. I love how he talks about all these crazy things as if they were just completely banal.
The mothers at lunch scene is gold as well.

And in The Deer Hunter, the Russian roulette scene at the very end, incredible
omg, i was so stunned when i saw that. Heartbreaking. I loved that movie, de niro and walken were amazing.

The scene in Kill Bill vol. 2 where Uma is buried alive and she punches her way out of that coffin ... conjured all sorts of emotions in me, and was a beautiful portrayal of a strong and liberated woman

Pride and Prejudice - the new one the final scene is sooo romantic, so is the whole movie, the cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, im still thinking about it a week later
Love Actually- when Liam Neeson takes his son to the airport and Keira Knightley's wedding video and card scene
What's Eating Gilbert Grape - when they decide to burn down the house
Some Like it Hot - "who's the bride?" "I am" scene soo funny
thats all i can think of for now

That entire scene had me SO tense! It contains my two biggest fears: snakes and claustrophobia. The ENTIRE fight scene, all i can think is "Where is that snake!?"

Gold Rush - where "The Tramp" has Georgia and her friends over to his shack. The gifts, the little dance with the biscuits, the whole scene is so charming, and then he wakes up and it was all a dream and she had stood him up. SO heartbreaking. :(

DIRTY DANCING: when she goes to his room at night to apologize for her father´s reaction and says: "most of all I´m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life, the way I feel when i´m with you"

REALITY BITES: Before they sleep together when they are in the kitchen and he says "We all love her, I love her, She breaks my heart again and again but I love her"

this thread seem to be full of mostly girly sentimental crap. here are some truly great scenes in cinema:

Ran: The "Wives Shield" scene. An old samurai lord flees his castle with his dozen or so wives/concubines. Enemy soldiers storm in, surround them, fire, all wives/concubines drop dead together around him.

Later in that same movie, the old samurai lord tries to commit suicide, but his sword broke.

One Armed Swordsman I: The scene where one armed swordsman loses his arm was one of the funniest things that i have ever seen. So random, like that scene in Pulp Fiction when Vincents accidentally shoots the guy in the back of the car.

Aliens: The scene where Ripley watches the Alien queen lay eggs. When i first saw it when i was like 11, I thought it was the nastiest thing ever.

The Killer: Two blind lovers crawl blindly toward each other, but misses each other, then Chow Yun Fat dies.

Total Recall: When Arnold shoots his wife, played by Sharon Stone, in the head and says, "Consider that a divorce."

They don't make action movies like they used to.

Most definitly the snow dance scene in Memoirs.....it was so beautifully done.

Finding Neverland: The last scene, where Johnny and the little boy are sitting on the bench, talking about his mom (Kate Winslet) who just died, and the boy says "But why did she have to die?" And Johnny just holds him.

Edward Scissorhands: When Diane Weist finds Edward in the castle. "What happened to you?" "I'm not finished yet."

Breakfast At Tiffanys: The whole opening scene.

Pulp Fiction: John and Uma dancing. And Bruce Willis trying to pick out the right weapon.

Heavenly Creatures: When the two girls are running through the forrest and discover their little garden of eden, or fourth world, whatever they called it.

Roman Holiday: The ending, when they have to say goodbye without saying anything real to each other.

The Royal Tannenbaums: Where Luke Wilson attempts suicide. Then after that, when he and Gwenyth are in the tent together.

Amelie: When he finally comes up to her apartment, and Amelie just starts kissing him softly all over his face.

finding neverland - the last when the mother goes in to the land
greenmile- when he is executed
love actually - the scene at the airport when 9/11 is mention something about no calls of hatred just of love and when both sides now plays.
Titanic - when the mother is telling her two children a bedtime storie and when the old couple are cuddling together on the bed
Man on fire - when he walks along the road at the very end
Fame - the last scene makes me so happy

My favorite scene is in Y Tu Mama tambien, where julio, tenoche and luisa (i thik that's her name) were having that fight outside of the car. Good acting all around.

dlg

red river - scene between john ireland and montgomery clift sizing up each other's guns:lol:
gladiator - i like most of the dreamlike sequences in this movie, great cinematography
the pianist - scene after adrien brody's charater's family is taken away in the train...very emotional scene:cry: , again great cinematography
black hawk down - scene where the soldiers are running through the fog while guided by some local children
grand illusion - scene where one of the soldiers dressses as a girl, very funny!
east of eden - every scene... james dean is so gorgeous and beautifully tormented...:crush:

I can't just pick one or two favorite scenes....especially from the movie E.T.
That movie had so many great scenes...like the Reeses Pieces scene, when Elliot drops one reeses pieces at a time on the grown so that E.T. would follow him into the house.....or even the scene when Drew Barrymores' character dresses E.T. up in girl clothes...lol...E.T. could have been a good cross dresser.... Plus the scene when E.T. is left home alone and gets drunk......lmao....there are just too many good scenes in that film....

Donnie Darko- The Sparkle Motion Scene
Friday Night Lights- The party scene
Four Brothers- The Thanksgiving dinner scene
Mean Girls- The 3-way call attack
American Beauty- The part where Lester blackmails his boss with a sexual harrasment suit and emblezzment

Romeo and Juliet [1968] The lovely Balcony Scene -

In the same movie, there is a scene where Juliet is wearing a red empire waist dress and she is running across the dark courtryard. It was shot from a bird's eye view. I thought the shot was stunning:heart:

hmm, I cant pick but one of my favorite scenes is in the virgin suicides, when the girls are exchanging song with the boys over the phone, it always makes me feel sad, and second is the scene in Romeo + Juliet, when Romeo is at Sycamore grove <3

I've always had a special place in my heart for the "Moulin Rouge" scene where Christan (Ewan McGregor) sings "Your Song" to Satine (Nicole Kidman).

the yakuza scene in Kill Bill when O-ren Ishii lays down the law with all the other bosses... she decapitates that guy for making a mockery of her heritage and follows up with an eloquent speech...
