I would NOT trust Costco as far as designer bags. I remember them selling Louis Vuitton and they had the same hang-tags as the fakes on Ioffer, canal street, etc.. a hang tag is a DEAD GIVEAWAY of a fake.

how can costco be allowed to sell a fake for $1800 though? like.. they must be getting a wholesale price for it.. i'm really curious! they aren't authorized retailers, but wouldn't fendi have some kind of distribution rights to prevent a big chain store like costco to sell their brand unlicensed?

oh well.. costco isnt usually the first place i think of for these bags.. heehee.. maybe someday they will have harry winstons there...

I saw the Spy satchel, I think it works so much better than all the other shapes. BTW what is the regular Spy catagorized under? Is it a tote?

so just to clarify, the metallic spy isnt like flashy silver but its more of a subtle white-light blue silverish color right? (sorry for the horrible color description.. )

i just saw the silver spy at barneys, and yes, i think that's right. it's almost like a pearlized silver w/ faint gold splotches.

gg: the texture was matte, soft, and squishy. not crunchy when squished. however, i'm not sure there was a coating per se, either. it basically feels exactly the same as the petrol except it feels "tackier" when you touch it, if that makes any sense.

thats actually a good idea, but the thing is, im not 100% sure that im getting the petrol and i dont think i'ld have decided by the time the auction ends which is in 2 days ..but thanks anyway for looking it up for me GuessGirl!

Newest Addition - Python Spy

Hello Ladies,
I wanted you all to be the first to see the newest member of my Spy family! Purchased last week at NM in Boston... A brand new Python Spy, apparently also from the SS'06 line, although I had never seen it before...

The pics really don't do her justice; she is the most beautiful combination of *soft, muted* tones: light aqua blue, mint green and mocha brown, with honey handles. My SA called to tell me she had something spectacular in. When she took her out, I swear I got lightheaded!
Hope you love her, too...

I'll be posting pics of my "family" soon, as now I definitely have to make the very difficult decision as to whom to say goodbye to... and I would really appreciate your opinions in making that decision!

Spy Crazy - I saw that at NM this weekend also - its gorgeous! Did you happen to see the new shearling spy that looks like its "Joseph's Multi-Colored Dreamcoat"? (Referring to the show "Joseph and the Multi-Colored dreamcoat). It was actually MORE expensive than the python!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Like you, jacobsgirl, I nearly didn't go to see the bag once I heard it was python, but then my curiosity got the better of me! Once I laid eyes on it, I was DONE. Kudos to you for being good with the CCs. Wish I could say the same. Let's just say I went from zero balance to "InCircle" in one fell swoop!

Cougess, they didn't have the "technicolor" shearling when I was there, however my friend lizziechic sent me a pic of it. I can't say I liked it at all.
