greeneyebeauty - satchels are great and fun to carry around. are you thinking about getting one, and if so, which color combo?? i have the purple/taupe combo and just love using it when i dont' feel like toting the regular spy around.

....and i just received my honey/tan/camel wisteria spy. blah. the flowers are all smashed and droopy. i don't even feel like taking pics and posting. it's going straight back to the store for return!! did anyone else order that bag??

I've had my black Spy bag on probation for a while now and am wondering whether it's time to break it out. I was on a wait list at BG forever and then by the time I got it I wasn't that crazy about it anymore (too many fakes on the street). Then I read about all the discoloration and spy compartment falling out issues. Has anyone had problems with color rubbing off on their black Spy bag?

As far as I know, discoloration on all the other colros except for cognac is very minimal to none at all.

I would recommend apple leather conditioner from leatherstuff.com if you havent already used it

ok. Thanks, Guessgirl! It's just that this is the most expensive bag I own and I'm nervous about fully committing to it ... especially cuz I'm bombarded with street vendors on every corner selling fake Spys, Balenciagas, etc.

May I ask, did u have to wait long for yours, like did u have to pre-order it or was it there already in stock?

I had to pre-order it! I've been waiting since the end of last year. They told me it would be in by end of Feb and it is now April.. but oh well, it will be here soon!! They had a white and natural coloured one available at the time I ordered mine, but I didn't want those colours. Phone them up and see what they've got. Also try David Jones Fendi, they can get them in too. To guarantee one you need to put down at least a 30% deposit.

well I called my SA ...and she is kinda loopy. She was reading off all the expensive spies and I told her I don't care.

She said this one might be leather but there is no price. mentioned something about a red, kelly green and marroon maybe. Don't hold me to that.

I bet we know by the end of April.

I love my satchel i've carried it non stop for weeks now it carries loads and is still really light. I can't wait to see what the new colours are going to be I might have to get another one !!.

Fendi at selfridges in manchester rang me today and told me they had a black spy if I wanted it. I said I would come and look but they said they'd only hold it till the end of the day, which was no good cuz I was at work! THen the lady said they were limiting their supply and i'd be very lucky to get the chance to get one from now on. I'm gutted! do you guys think that's true or was it a technique to try and make me buy it right there. (Which I told her i wouldn't do without seeing it)

Black is a permanent color so I wouldn't be too worried about getting one if you pass on this one. You can may always be able to call and get one right away, but your sure to get one eventually.

I was at Selfridges in Manchester today and didn't see the black spy on display. They had the honey and some other colour (can't remember) and the B bag in black and tan. Go with your instinct. If you really want it get it, Selfridges should have a return policy

jbelle - the color is that of honey (i was expecting a deeper color, like that on style.com) and the flowers all the pics (NM, saks, style.com) all have perky flowers. i see that nm/saks use the spy compartment to hold down some of the petals. i plan to return to the SF saks tomorrow morning/afternoon and will try to take pics before i do so. probably won't post pics til tomorrow evening if that is ok with you. fyi - there are 2 on ebay for auction (last i checked) where you can see pics as well. just do a regular search for fendi spy and rank the listing by "higestest prices" first. those two auctions are near the top of the list...

i saw those ebay pics and the droopy flowers killed any lust i might have had for the wisteria
