Fendi Spy Bag

Thank you! I don't know what's gotten into me - I've gone bonkers and my husband is going to kill me! I'll try to post pics, if I can figure out how to do it. I'm technologically challenged when it comes to uploading.

Missbradshaw - Congrats on your black Spy!

How did the sellers get your contact informastion? Did they search for your user name and send a message through ebay? Why would they yell at you if they knew they were selling fakes? I mean, how can they justify that, or do they claim that their items are "200% authentic" and call you a liar?

Sorry about the off topic discussion, although it sort of is about Spys (fake Spys, that is)

The person that I was trying to help out gave my contact information to the seller.. and the seller threatened me with having my account cancelled. I replied to her basically saying that I've got a minimum of 50 people on a fashion information forum that would back me up saying that her bags are all counterfeit. She shut up after that. It's needless to say that Ebay did nothing to me.... But they dont' want to rock the boat... in either direction. They keep the auctions because they make money, regardless.

It just sucks... I mean, yea, I buy fake bags... KNOWING that they are fake.. and some of the poor suckers on ebay have no clue! I try to help one of them out and it blows up in my face! so I just stopped caring after that. If they don't want to do their research before they buy, then they're just stupid.

Went to Bloomie's at lunch and bought a Spy bag - not just any Spy, but the one made of black tulle/lace with pearls and beading! It was last year's design, originally $4800 and I got it for $3200 on sale. Does anyone have this one? What do you think - is it worth it? It's just so pretty ...

This spy is goooresous! :woot: Definatly post pics. I am so envious that you got it on sale.

When I went to pick up my Spy after work, the manager actually gave me an additional discount! Shocking. The bag rung up as 30% off when it was really 50%! So, it ended up being $2,400! Still a lot, but it makes me feel a little better. I'll definitely try to post pics!

Makes me want to board a plane and go get one too :p
Please post pics, I don't think I've seen a black tulle Spy before.

Ah, I don't see why the person you were helping gave the seller your contact information. Now that I know of this site I'd probably post pics of the bags in the 'authentic or not' thread and give the buyer a link to the post so that she could read the replies for herself, and if she felt that she needed to prove anything to the seller she could forward the link, I guess. And you're right; buying a fake knowingly and being scammed for hundreds or maybe thousands of dollars are two very different things. I've seen the $200+ NBF Spys being auctioned off on ebay for more than $1000, and there is no other word for that than fraud. I don't necessearily (sp?) think that the buyers are stupid, most people don't spend as much time researching their bags as TFSers do, and it's difficult knowing every bag in and out since some fakes are pretty convincing. Sometimes I think you need a phd in bags just to pick up a bag from a regular store if you want to avoid ending up with a poor "inspired by" copy of a designer bag. It's pretty sad, really :(

I have just bought my first spy in black...am really loving it!

Congrats on the bag. Can you confirm what the serial number is in the bag? I just bought one too in black and I want to confirm it's authenticity w/o having to actually go into the Fendi store. I'm pretty sure it's real, it has the Neiman Marcus tags on it,it's buttery soft and I compared it to my friends brown one (which I know is real), the leather is the same. On the tag on the inside it has "AD62612".
I've been fooled before, and this one is much different than the one I returned. Even the Fendi lining is different, much thicker and "windbreaker- like". Also, the flap opens and closes a lot smoother. I paid $1600.00.

Thanks!

Can someone confirm if this is real?? 6868634443

It looks authentic to me. If that's a fake then it's by far the best I've ever seen.

I agree. I was waiting to say something bc it would be a dang good fake....but from first glance no red flags....she has the NM tag but not attached...but she might have taken off to carry

Thanks guccigal and keya...appreciate your thoughts:D and so glad you both think it's real. I think it is definitley real (compared it to my friends real one-she said it was real too), and I am very happy to finally have the bag..it's beautiful. Also, she originally wanted $1900, I tried to get her down to $1200 but she wouldn't do it. If it was a fake, she probably would have taken the deal. Anyway, we settled at $1600.
Now, I love the denim one too:unsure: (the one with the flowers), but I can't go crazy! Saw it online at Saks.
How do you ladies keep your bags so shiny???

Here's a pic of my black tulle Spy. Hope this comes thru!
