omg, i love spies.

can someone who has this particular one comment on the leather and care? i thought it came up somewhere that it's hard to care for? does the cream stain easily?

the stamp and coating (i think it has a slight sheen) probably make it a little easier to care for than a regular white spy. but people have voiced concerns about it yellowing over time, but i think that applies to all white bags.

For those interested in the Silver Gold Spy, the protagonist of Bryanboy.com has just gotten one. There are pics of him using the Spy in his blog. Does not look so good there.

Anyone has seen and/or bought the Wisteria Spy? Am very keen to see that one...

Got all the spies and the pictures I could find. I dont know what was produced in the sachels and hobos so I didn't do that. I dont remember what initially inspired me to do this but I hope someone finds it useful :-)

Fendi Spy NAPPA vs LIZARD

Hi all! I'm new to this forum officially.. but i've been lurking around as a guest for ages!

here's my first question:

The NAPPA leather on the regular fendi spys are gorgeous, and I know they get really soft with use. They sometimes start out shiny but get more matt (although this depends on colour/batch/season).. am I right to say this?

THE LIZARD SKIN spy bags: being reptile, is obviously more expensive. But in terms of durability, softness, sheen/shine and bumps/distressing.. how different (good/bad) is it from the Nappa leather?

If anyone could help me with that.. i'll be so grateful!

Which lizard are you reffering to? I dont think theres a lizard spy but I could be wrong. I used to think the textured and coated leather was lizard, but it actually turns out it's not.

It is true that the nappa starts out shinier and turns matte with use, mine has lost a shiny bit of shine from when I got it but it was never super shiny.

My faves would have to be the green, petrol and honey, plus the beaded tulle Spys and the one you call rainbow patchwork shearling spy with rainbow handles. I would love one of those (the rainbow patchwork one), does anyone know if it's at all possible to get your hands on one now? Any ideas about the retail price?

*sigh* I guess that Spy will remain just a fantasy. In real life I'm debating whether to get a honey Spy or a white gaucho (never really been that big a fan of the gaucho, though, and I already have a petrol Spy plus a green that I can borrow so I donno about getting another)
