The person that I was trying to help out gave my contact information to the seller.. and the seller threatened me with having my account cancelled. I replied to her basically saying that I've got a minimum of 50 people on a fashion information forum that would back me up saying that her bags are all counterfeit. She shut up after that. It's needless to say that Ebay did nothing to me.... But they dont' want to rock the boat... in either direction. They keep the auctions because they make money, regardless.

It just sucks... I mean, yea, I buy fake bags... KNOWING that they are fake.. and some of the poor suckers on ebay have no clue! I try to help one of them out and it blows up in my face! so I just stopped caring after that. If they don't want to do their research before they buy, then they're just stupid.

The other day I saw an auction for a green (fake) spy and it sold for $1200. It looked SO fake, and some poor girl is out $1200 for something she could have gotten in most NY street corners for, I don't know $50. I wanted to tell her something, but then I thought of your story and decided it wasn't worth the hassle, but I still feel very bad for her.

From the very beginning (since I discovered this bag) the spy I've actually wanted is the blue one. I bought the honey (twice) and returned it (twice), because it just didn't feel right because it wasn't blue. So after much back and forth (4 months) I have bought a blue hobo. It isn't what I would have prefered, but I just didn't feel comfortable, buying something above ticket price, sight unseen on Ebay, and I have to say I'm pretty happy with it. The leather is beautiful and so is the color. Today, my aunt saw it and she asked me if it was an old bag, because the leather looked so wrinkly, and I told her it was brand new, and she said it didn't look it, which I was kind of happy about.

Funny Story

Hi Girls I wanted to share a funny experience- I was the other day buying (what else another bag) at Nordstrom I was buying a Chloe bag and couldn't decide which color to get- and I was wearing my Spy bag, the funny thing is that three women approached me and made comments of my spy bag-I layed it on the table and one thought it was for sale- another girl told her mom "look mom that's a spy bag!" another told me that my spy was much nicer than the chloe... it made me feel good I did not know they were really coveted bags!! So my next buy will be ANOTHER SPY!!!

Don't worry Uniq - I saw the purple tulle at the Fendi boutique here on 5th Ave just last week and it was still full price. It's a beautiful bag in purple too - so girly and fun.

Went to Bloomie's at lunch and bought a Spy bag - not just any Spy, but the one made of black tulle/lace with pearls and beading! It was last year's design, originally $4800 and I got it for $3200 on sale. Does anyone have this one? What do you think - is it worth it? It's just so pretty ...

Tiger1 HOW HOW HOW DID YOU FIND THIS ONE?! I am soo sooo intensely envious of you, I would kill for a tulle spy! I'm dying for the blue one though but the black is incredibly unique and beautiful. And DISCOUNTED?! Sighs. Enjoy your bag!

Kiptrip - I actually just asked about it at Bloomingdale's (not thinking they'd have it) and the SA said she may have seen one in the stock room. Then voila! She pulled it out and said it was transferred in from another store. I almost had a heart attack.

And yes, I also recently bought a large black Muse bag. Been very bad, indeed.

Have you heard of appegarde leather care? leatherstuff.com ...

I used the products on my white spy bag.. and dust/dirt came off.. although I didn't try rubbing too hard on the colour that came off the black handles onto the white... so maybe colour runs won't come off that easily? but the dust and dirt came off in ONE wipe with these products..

Okay, I found it. The ebay item number for the January auction is 6839444062, and the ebay seller is mozzersquiff who is a trustworthy seller. The green spy actually went for $7700!!!! Isn't that completely nuts!

Yeah, this current seller is a liar and a thief.

P.S. I own a green spy, and there isn't anything suspicious about the way that the spy looks in the pic. It is from one the newer batches of leather to fulfill either a special order, or an order from Selfridges/Harrods. All the green spys that were manufactured in the first batch had a different finish and were less "turtlely" from my observation.

eluxury has the Hologram Spy on line but they have the gold handled photo again and say in the description, gold leather straps. I don't know why they never get that corrected. It does look striking with those golden handles... too bad they didn't really make it like that.
