Ive been seeing these everywhere. All the Hollywood girls are getting into it. You know what that means......

Have a pair since Winter 04. They're not very practical though ... I can't even count the times when I couldn't feel my fingers anymore. But then again, maybe anywhen but in winter.

I have these from Marc Jacobs, but I think they are from MANY seasons ago.

I also made a pair in black myself. I can't figure out if they are a bit too punkish for me:blink: , but they're great as my hands tend to get cold at work and then I wear these and I can still type.
I also find them great for shopping, I don't have to pull my leather gloves off all the time and be afraid to lose them. With fingerless gloves I can leaf through the clothes racks and feel the fabrics.

Here are a few runway pics:

(those aren't actually fingerless gloves, but I like the combo of leather gloves and woollen armwarmers)

I've never been fond of fingerless gloves :innocent:

The wintery ones always reminds me of the tall criminal guy from Home Alone. lol

They are indeed everywhere.... especially the ones that are very long... even the non fingerless ones..... I feel like fingerless gloves are just too try-hard....

a few months ago i had burns on my hands, so I wore these black fingerless gloves. I would wear them because I still have scars, but it's Summer here

I might start wearing them again when it's cold or something :ninja:

i guess it could be a cute look..i like the way marc did it..but it also look a little avril lavigne pre chanel make over...you know what i mean?

Didnt JLo wore a pair of those but in leather and white (and Prada?) on the "Play" video? (I love those)

i've been wearing them since forever, i can't stand the "numb" fingers when wearing gloves, i couldn't use my walkman and things like that.

Fingerless gloves look cool and all but there not very function friendly. I wore some on a paper route i had and my fingers froze up so quick. I wouldn't suggest them just for that reason.

I HATE them...they remind me of the guy of home alone, or street people. YACK!

I find that the woolen, "practicality" based fingerless gloves look "Seattle Chic" to me. Ten, twelve years ago, my uncle and his buddies were really into the whole grunge, long hair, flannel thing (like anyone else) and he had a pair of them. I do too but my fingers are always cold anyway so why would I wear gloves with no fingers?

I think if they're paired with the right outfit, they can look good. But very few people can pull it off. usually end up looking like Avril did a few years ago..

totally agree with you there

I think some people will be able to pull them off. Will I??? I'm not so sure. For one, I normally wear gloves (with fingers) though April and starting in November because I'm always so cold (espically my fingers and toes). Heck, my fingers and toes go numb sometimes in my apartment (and it's at 74 degrees!) because I get so cold. I'm an odd ball I know ;)

Another thing I just realized---if I (or anyone for that matter) were to wear the long gloves with fingers...no one would be able to tell that they were long and not short like regular gloves because I'd have a coat on! The only way people would see them (or that I could rock them) is if I wore them with ....a tee shirt???? Hmm...maybe this trend isn't such a good idea after all.

Now you've all got me thinking....but thanks! :)

i prefer the long ones over the short ones because you can 'slouch'(?) them and fill the "gap" between your wrist and your sleeve, so the cold doesn't creep in. :ermm:

I love armwarmers and fingerless gloves. A couple years ago I worked as a cashier and discovered that they were a cute and practical way to keep my hands warm while working or taking a smoke break (also for typing my schoolwork in my underheated, garret-like apartment, ugh). I make my own out of felted up sweaters. Right now my favorite pair is long and soft and kind of navy blue with white fair isle details in the cuff. Doesn't look grungy or punk at all (not that there's anything wrong with that).

WTF. Unless you're trying to cash a check with Avril Lavigne's name on it, these should be burned.
