Thigh High / Over the Knee Boots

I got ones for my birthday. They're flat (though I would love if they were not), but I really like them...

I got a pair of (almost) thigh high boots (they just about reach my thigh, thats what comes of long legs =/) and I like them much better than I expected. I thought they might look a bit... you know, 'trying too hard' but actually, so long as I don't pair them with short shorts and low cut tops, they look fine  They work really well with skinny jeans and an oversized jumper.

hmm weird that u say that since they ve been a hot item since fall 2003 (Chloe) am sure they re here to stay.
and like someone else mentioned nobody said u had to pay tons of money for them. nowadays there are boots for every budget

love that red pair. i've had my pair since 2004 now and i don't think they're going out of style any time soon, they just evolve.

FashionLova you dont stop to amuse me!!! karma points for pulling that out and making a point  i dont think thigh boots are going anywhere either:smile:

I don't think they're a good idea with heels, but as flats they're sweet. I own a pair of flat tall black ones, they have fringe

i have been looking for a simple pair of black boots since 2003!!! not only over-the-knee, whatever height i find, but i hate every one of them, either they're awful or quality is the worse, etc. now victoria's secret is having a bit fat sale and they have a colin stuart pair of convertible boots (which is very convenient) but i'm afraid last time i bought a pair of boots they turned to be the most uncomfortable things i've ever worn (this, coming from a person who can run in platforms). by any chance, have any of you tried them on?? or bought them?

i like wearing them not necessarily over the knee but bunched down.

I love OTK boots, I find that they really keep me warm. As a lover of dresses and skirts, they are perfect for cold winter days.

Has anybody seen thigh high / OTK boots that are super fitted all the way up the leg? Not the pirate style?

I just want really plain, non-platform, heeled boots in a black suede and it is proving to be so freaking impossible..

diorkiss have you considered the zara suede thigh highs? I was very particular in terms of fit and heel when i was looking for a thigh high boot (in my price range) and found the black suede version at zara (in spain) to be pretty on par with what i wanted. It's not a skin tight fit, but it's doesn't have the crude slouchy look of the pirate boots. They look great with skinny jeans, or paired with a mid-length dress.

i started loving them like over a year ago when Kate Moss started wearing them. not so keen on them now though, i prefer ankle boots with short socks on.

I'm currently stalking a pair on ebay! They are perfect (if we are talking about the same ones - super fitted up the leg, in the fall 2009 campaign?)

How did you find the sizing for the zara ones? Not sure to get my normal boot size, or to get bigger in case they are too small.

i got mine, amazingly, i ordered them a size too big to have spare space to wear with tights, but they fit perfectly, wich means if i had ordered them my size, they would have squeezed my feet till it bled. passed that, they are not as high as i supposed they would be, and this bothers me enormously, because i was expecting them to reach almost panty area(i figured it would reach that high because i'm very short)!! i wanted to use them a la balenciaga f/w 03/04, almost as boot-pants i' a bit pissed by that, but they are comfy and extremely versatile (they are meant to be mutiway) so i think i'll wear them out!

Over the past 2 falls I've only gotten to wear mine a dozen times or so. Trying to figure out if there is any way to make a tight black suede pair work in the spring.

Seems like they are here to stay (for at least another season). I'm glad to hear that because I hardly got around to wearing my high heels suede ones from Zara because of the snow and cold weather here. I didn't want to ruin them.
