Flip Flops

Personally I call the rubber kind flip flops, and anything made of a nice material a "thong sandal" or some other name.

I bought six pairs for this summer. 3 fancy pairs and 3 everyday pairs.

Yes! you read correctly I have "Fancy flip flops"...I wear them to clubs and get weird looks and giggles from the girls in the stilettos. They can laugh all they want because by the end of the night my feet aren't bleeding or hurting.


I'm still able to walk home

PS: Montreal is very clean. We pay enough in taxes to have street and sidewalk cleaners pass by twice to three times a week.

I don't think it really has anything to do with tax dollars... .NYC plays PLENTY of taxes.

it's just.... lots of buildings + lots of businesses + lots of taxi cabs + random road construction + nature(we dont have a lot of that here, though) + almost bare feet = DIRTY FEEEEEET!

you are actually all wrong. When thong sandals emerged decades ago, no one woer thongs in their ***. The proper name would be a thong sandal, but since most people in America have so many stigmas about sounding anywhere near-sexual people call them flip-flops.

I dont really care what's wrong or right... I dont like the word thong.. so i call them all flipflops.

Yeah I saw a girl at school with dirty whites and it looked like some home ec chocolate accident.

I like to wear flip flops all the time...I spend a lot of my days on the beaches on the CaliCoast...so its practical and comfy....

I wore them once in NY and never again will I step out in NY streets in flipys if I plan to walk miles that day...if its just a bit then fine with me..its not that filthy that the dirt will immediately attack your feet.

It was just a joke because Montreal has the highest taxes in North America.

Also i find that Montreal and NYC are very similar. I spend a lot of time in both places and I find that they're very similar with the taxis, businesses, construction, and pollution. However a lot of our taxes go to keeping our city clean which I think is a good thing plus we have a much lower population so its probably not as bad.

Unfortunately my camera has been on the fritz ever since I had to re-install the software for the photos. I got them from Browns shoe store but they dont have mine on there.

really? I have always seen the property tax in New York as much much less than a lot of other places in the surrounding area.

O love flip flops... Havaianas actually, those are the one and only flip flops! I've been shoppig for them in winter already, cuz its hard to find proper Havaianas when its warm already I got orange, white, black, blue, yellow, green and red ones them all!!!
