Givenchy F/W 2026.27 Paris

What’s going on…
She needs to have either MAS or Templer by her side because Nickerson is failing her.

A lot of beautiful clothes but I don’t know what I just watched. At some point I lost track and there was an orange catsuit.

When you don’t have that much of an identity as a designer, the overstyling, overcrowding of products and all just kills everything.

That anecdotical tote bag wasn’t necessary.

There were at least 10 unnecessary looks.

Too much of a mess to enjoy. The set and the cast were fabulous but what a mess!

Five stars. I didn't like the puffy gloves. Beautiful absolutely beautiful leatherwork. The Tailoring is absolutely purely t McQueen it's fun , serious and a great way to build up products in the stores. Love the head wraps. Love the dramatic white shirts. men's tailoring. All my favorite 😍 and some yummy shoes.

I’m mean I don’t care about that mess and her bc they’re closing Givenchy boutiques and there are even rumours LVMH is offloading brand so it’s all smoke and mirrors to hide horrible sales…

Craft and technique ? Where ? it looks like they fired all their tailors to work with unpaid interns instead: the sleeves on the suits are horrendous .
Come on now

amazing! probably my favorite offering from her so far..i don't like those heels with all the stuff around the ankle she keeps doing though
i can't really tell from the pictures, but the headpieces look like t-shirts wrapped around the head no?

Her shows for Givenchy so far are really tough to watch first time. Too much going on and you just switch off. At least I do.

Then after a while, or once you see the clothes separated or styled differently they come across stronger. Lola nailed it as usual, she needs a stylist who can streamline her collections, pare back and create a narrative. Doesn't even have to be MAS or Templer but just not Camilla. I think just like her former colleague Alex White, she's lost it and doesn't really care anymore. She never used to be this sloppy.

I must be in the minority who finds her Givenchy superior to her McQueen.
By the comments I was expecting something terrible and to me this is very decent.

There are still some choices that break the fantasy: the color palette feels random at times.
There is a certain shade of yellow that Sarah loves since her first show that is NOT-Givenchy at all. The Givenchy yellow is more toned down (closer to the one used in the last brocade pieces). Same applies to the almost electric blue, so not-Givenchy. Red should be used differently.

Cuts and silhouettes are elegant, diverse and slightly experimental. In that regard she is miles ahead of the one-note MGC.

She has that weird tendency (also Khaite, by the way) to end the show with one of the worst looks, which is a cold shower.

I agree with Lola, of the 60 looks, erase 20 and you have a very good collection.

"nothing's right I'm torn"... but i don't dislike it entirely. UGH definitely needed some editing and better styling. the suits look amazing as always. I did start to enjoy it more especially after the 33rd look.

I think she has it in her so I'll wait.

I think I can't stand her more than I can't stand MGC.

This is a grotesque mishmash of half-a**d ideas, with some despicable gimmicks.

And the "I don't want to show mens so let's hint at menswear on butch models". Give us a break Sarah, you ain't that great.

As someone who wishes they lived in a Jan Van Eyck painting I quite like most of it. but considering her strength in tailoring I'm shocked look 43 was given a QC pass before the show. Same with look 37, the back which can be seen in look 35's photo has some crazy armscye pucker going on

Givenchy is a cursed house. No designer has managed to succeed there except Riccardo. I do think old Pilati could do good there, but not too sure if I’m interested in his current version.

Even Olivier could be doing nice dresses to sell the perfumes and just throw some beauty in our eyes. That would be something interesting LVMH could do for the sake of humanity. After Proenza and Givenchy Mr Arnault owes us some beauty. I think people are starving for beauty and no one is doing it. Would be nice even marketing wise.

Tbh, I doubt this will sell more than anything by Olivier. Their corners are always empty. I know many people left the house for other groups because it’s a sinking boat. No one wants to be there.

I feel it’s impossible for designers to find an identity for the house… this is so so so generic, could be whatever. A few cute ideas here and there but feels very neighborhood mother of the bride store, like a C list designer show from the late 90s in a mall center adding bows to show how good he is with the technique… idk.

Can’t imagine someone paying thousands to look this dated. It just feels heavy handed, démodé, unflattering… really bad.

With that said I can’t stand the gimmicks, the styling (was that a leather scarf tied to a belt loop???) & I’m starting to not be able to stand her in general. If yall thought MGC was sexless..oweee…She’s so dusty..
