This woman is a GODDESS. Here's a great pic from ONTD. Just WOW. I cannot believe she is 40 (to be 41 on Dec.31 this year!). And she's like 14 years older than Zhang Ziyi...yet somehow looks just as young as Zhang.

I love her.


And some info...apparently she's going to be in another English-language movie:

Noted Chinese film star Gong Li, who is currently filming ace director Zhang Yimou's "Wearing Golden Armor Across the City" in the national capital of Beijing, has confirmed her next role will be in James Huth's English-language movie "The Yellow M."

Based on Edgar P. Jacobs' comic-strip characters Blake and Mortimer, "The Yellow M" will be an adventure thriller centering on MI5 agent Blake and brilliant physicist Mortimer who fight evil in 1950s London. 　　

Gong will play the enigmatic Dr. Li Mei, a scientist whose intelligence is matched only by her icy beauty, the Tianjin-based Morning Post reported. 　　

"The role is fresh to me and I have a lot of confidence in the director," Gong was quoted as saying. 　

Rufus Sewell ("A Knight's Tale") and Hugh Bonneville ("Notting Hill") will respectively play Blake and Mortimer.

I saw her in "Memoirs", and I lost interest in the film when her character disappears. I had heard of her, but didn't know which character she was playing, and at some point, I had to ask my friend "Who IS that?", because she has a face that's distractingly beautiful.

I do think she outshone Zhang Ziyi, but I think I have to watch the rest of the movie. In any case, she gives a great performance.

She looked not a day older than 25 . Amazing.

Must rent "2046".

she has such a beautiful face, i used to live in the same building as her in hongkong when i was younger, i still remember seeing her one time in the elevator, my cousin and i just couldn't stopping looking at her, but of course we tried to act cool though.

i love her in 2046, and memoirs of a geisha, she and michelle yeoh were the ones that keep me from falling asleep.
