Yeah, but I understood that the Bing thing was over by High Society time...And, yes, Grace and Cary could have done 10 movies together, as far as I was concerned!! ^_^ I remember reading that Hitchock would have done anything to get Grace back for Eva Marie Saint's role in "North by Northwest"...I would have loved that too!!

Grace really had a thing for older men, huh?

I'd say co-stars...
Yeah, she'd be perfect for N by N-W, Eva Marie was too plastic IMO, but, hey, Cary's there so I don't mind! Also, Hitchcock wanted her for Marnie, I think that would've been the best of her movies because female has the leading roll...

I do! And the above one is amazing! Her hair color was perfect. I just want her bone structure so badly!

Glad someone notices the pics I post. I do take a lot of effort to get them.

she so should have taken that role.. especially because she wanted to return to acting by the time of Marnie, and she had such a good relationship with hitchcock. I cant believe how much power people have over " their " princess

Not sure that I buy the argument that Grace was a great or even really good actress. I have seen all of her flicks but "Green Fire" and "The Swan" and to me, she didn't show a lot of range. Someone once said that Grace was not an actress, but a type and I agree with that. In "Bridges of Toko-Ri", she had a thankless part as a put upon wife, Katy Jurado blew her off the screen in "High Noon", she did do well in "Mogambo", much better than Mary Astor, who played her part in "Red Dust"-"Mogambo was the remake of that film. I found it unbelievable that Grace was this dowdy wife in "Country Girl", but I liked the authority she had in "High Society", even if I disliked the film. Grace's best pics were the Hitchcock ones, even if I didn't completely buy her in "Rear Window." I worship Kim Novak in "Vertigo" but I would have loved to have seen what Grace did with that part and I would have loved to see her in Janet Leigh's part in "Psycho".

i think that the only living actress today , (that is know i guess would be fair to incorporate... ) that has the elegance , and it factor of the old hollywood woman, would be Reese Witherspoon. She is both elegant and talented. Along with beautiful. So if anyone were to play a Grace kelly , it would have to be her.
Maybe no one should really play her anyway.

Not Reese, no way. Rosamund Pike is a better choice or Kate Winslet. But I do think no one should ever play Grace.

In my opinion, Grace's best movie was To Catch a Thief. I think she was prettiest in Rear Window. Her best style era was right after she married Prince Rainier. Just such a beautiful girl. No wonder Hitchcock loved her.

You are beyond welcome. I am thankful you like my pics.

I don't think anyone should play her. Noone could match her beauty or presence and so they would just embarrass themselves...
