This is how it goes, I'm reffering to those who only could and can felt secure wearing "sexy" by such a high name as Tom Ford...why? cause he is adored and his clothes can be wore without looking like "sluts" (as many of you call it) just BECAUSE it was a Ford collection despite of his ads are and were the most sexual ads out there ..funny right? ..let's see, if we see a Frida ad of a girl naked licking a bottle of champagne is sl*t but under ford it's sexy... both are sexy but the half here can't accept it and can't move on..

So yes those people not accepting Frida are the ones who are affraid to wear something "sl*tty" "tacky" whatever you call it ..cause the only thing frida is not selling to those people is "security" despite of them being hot or not

Alright ..I've liked most of Frida's collections ..this one it's not her best but there some great things here, boots and shoes great as usual gucci, the polka dots are indeed aweful but it's not that bad collection

Gucci Haters... omit your comments it's not our fault you look like sluts wearing this because you don't have the body, the style, attitude, security etc etc to pull this off without looking bad... whoever it hurts.. and that goes too for Tom Ford collections who only few can pull off a great Gucci look

You are so far from the point definitely. From a consumer stand-point of view, if you have ever looked at/purchased a Gucci piece from under Tom Ford, you will understand that you are buying something undeniably luxurious. It is only fantastic that you will be sexy and refined at the same time! Frida is complete opposite. I just dont understand how it is possible to justify this pricepoints that she is placing the clothings at. It is not about Tom Ford. It is the fact that Gucci is being compared to H&M. That was never before!!!

I wasn't really involved in fashion when Tom Ford was at Gucci, I have no real nostalgia about the good ol' days at Gucci, but I can surely grasp the difference between what Tom Ford was selling and what Frida is selling. Tom Ford's designs had glamour, mystery, and allure, Frida's clothes have none of that. When you buy from a particular designer, you are buying an image. I have no desire to be whatever woman Frida is designing for, so I'm not going to seek out her clothes. It's hasn't anything to do with being afraid to wear her stuff.

Tom Ford made Gucci desirable. Frida is ruining it's prestige and understandably not everyone is going to be pleased with it. But apparently people still purchase this stuff, I'm guessing just for the label, not because of the (nonexistent) design merit. I mean, if a person wants clothes that look like this, they can get it elsewhere a lot cheaper.

And if you are inferring that Spike doesn't know much about fashion...

im wondering does Fridas stuff do really well ?? Im guessing thats the reason why Gucci keeps her , I mean as a fashion brand ,Gucci has no power now but as a commercial brand it must be doing well , mainly cause of the accessories but at some point , Gucci will really fall financially because you need a mystique about a brand to keep it going ...i could be wrong im just guessing.........

Well clearly we just have two very different understandings of what Gucci was about and what Gucci currently is about.

To me, Tom and Frida's designs and images for the brand have virtually nothing in common except for the name on the label. Tom Ford's clothes and advertising were one thing, and Frida's clothes and advertising are another, hence the reason why some people respond differently to Frida's collections than they would to Tom's. I mean, it's fine if you don't see it and think that people are only hating on this collection because of the woman who currently runs the label, but clearly I'm not the only person who sees a big difference, so I can't be completely delusional.

I really don't see what gender has to do with being able to notice the major differences between Gucci then and Gucci now.

And yes, I am involved in the fashion industry, not that that really matters when it comes down to it.

Tights in UK English are the same as as pantyhose in US English.

Leggings are the stretchy pant-like things that are cut-off at the ankles (or above).

These look like leggings, to me.

I really tried to make it through this thread but then I saw those polka dots and fell through a wrinkle in time that led me back to 1961 or a time wherein giant polka dots on a frock could be viewed as acceptable or attractive in a non-ironic context.

So far this is the only collection that has managed to break the fabric of time. Kudos Frida. Kudos.

This might just be the collection that gets Frida fired. I looked over the collection twice and I can't find anything remotely nice. These are Body Shop and Charlotte Russe outfits made with better materials. I'm so done with this chick it's not even funny.

I have been saying this for seasons and I am so glad someone is finally getting it. This collection is absolutely repulsive, I can't beleive she gets paid to do this, I just cant stop laughing.

Like always, the accessories saved the whole show. Frida should come back to her root and just design bags and shoes then she will be fine. And the clothes, using Tina Chow as the influence seems to be quite off, if not insulting. Everything is such a mess (ok, there are some ok looks) that it hurts to look at...but oh well, this collection will sell and Frida's contract will be renewed again for sure.
