Why is everyone having a cry about it? I think its kinda nice. The black suit looks chic and the brown dress looks sexy. I think the main issue Gucci is facing at the moment is originality, Ive seen this before a lot of times.

If it wasn't for the fact that there are trendy young girls with more money than style who would rather pay $1500 for a hideous retro printed tunic instead of buy an authentic one at a flea market or vintage store for a fraction of the price, just so they can say they're wearing Gucci, Frida Giannini would've gotten the axe a long time ago.

Sad thing is there are so many designers who do boring design cliches much more convincingly than she does.

Yep, this has done it in, and I can only imagine the men's. The last few have been hideous but the shoes and accessories hadn't hit an all time low yet, not until now. The skips have been tacky enough, but the boots from the Eighties are a joke.

i like the clothes , but one season frida does 50s , then hippie then 80s punk rock and the cycle starts , im just happy she stopped showing those hideous pants from last season with the loose crotch and actually put out a nice pair of pants . I like her dresses and I know they will be copied to death . I guess Tom Ford Gucci is long gone , but TFsers have that hangover , even I do , his clothes were exciting ,dark and sexy but Frida's aim isnt fashionable sexy women , its mass market girls who have money to burn and want to look sexy . Another issue are the BIRC markets , Gucci does very well in these markets , and women in these countries are not looking for innovative fashion , just what looks good and sexy, that Frida apparently is giving them in spades , so I dont think Gucci CEOs will fire her unless she quits herself , which I highy doubt .

Can we all just realize that Gucci has changed now? Obviously Frida has a different vision for Gucci than Tom did, so no need to keep brining up the old Gucci.

she won't get fired as long as she churns out accesories which get the crowd moving and buying.

and, ashley, fact is that every brand has a personality. if a person would suddenly have a different personality, it'd be hard to adjust to that new personality too.

i know that after a certain point, with TF gone, gucci had to change...
but it is, inherently a sexy label...
gucci has an identity crisis right now...she has gone through every decade under the sun, but none of it is "gucci"....
